I am looking for a religion that is earth based but without the wiccan aspect of spells and such. Any suggestions?

Not all Wiccan practice Magic and not all those who practice magic are Wiccan. :)
Wiccan is the most earth based. There are many traditions that have widely varying bases. Heathens tend to emphasize battle and thier ancestors. I'm Egytian. We tend to look to the stars a bit more then other traditions. Celtic might be a little earth based...I'm not as familiar with them so don't qoute me. There are thousands of traditions to look to. Spells and such are not what you think. They are just very ritualized prayers for certain things to happen. Nothing different than what the Christians believe, we just focus specifically where and what we want to happen.

I am a Pagan and a Witch and I do very few spells because there are very few things I want. I am an ordained Wiccan Minister, but this ordination was only to make the paperwork for weddings easier. I believe in a God and Goddess in the sense of spiritual Mother and Father. Mother is the Earth and Father is the protector.

If you are following your path to enlightenment, then you should not follow any certain "religion." Each of us have to realize that individual people will have to have individual answers to make it to that enlightenment.
