It means that God's laws are real and the consequences for breaking them are just as real. He will not set aside the consequences for anyone.

Looking at the context, the verse is part of an exhortation in which the divinely inspired Paul, speaks of doing good unto all men, with special benevolence given to the household of the faith:
7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

My heart interprets it to respect God and live a life that respects God. As far as the 1st respondent, there are millions of things in life we don't understand or see that we know exist. However, if you consciously make God a part of your life, trust me, you will feel God's presence. I don't say this as a religious person, I say this as a person who has a relationship with God.

Oooops, I think this was meant for me. (see other posts)
I better stop messin around. Last thing I need is to p God off.
It means that even if your just being sarcastic or joking around, He sees that as having disrespect for who He is.
If I go around showing disrespect then who will ever take me serious? Worse yet, as a supposed believer, I am presenting Him as a joke to others. And how will He ever take me seriously?
Sorry God.

My heart doesn't interpret anything, but my brain interprets it to mean that, despite the myriad of stupid brone-age texts making Him look dumb, I should respect God.
Of course, that came from one of those bronze-age texts, so I'm back at the beginning, am I not?

What's there to interpret? The verse is plainly clear.

My hearts says.....
Wake up, "god" is nothing more than a nonsense word made up by man to explain away the things we can't yet understand.
