I just recently divorced and would like to go on a vacation to just get away from everything. I don't want to take family or friends. Is it weird to go on vacation alone? Any ideas..

It is not a bad idea to go anywhere alone. Be confident in yourself and don't care about what anyone thinks about it.
Take a nice vacation up to the mountains and fish, hike, bike, and just take it easy. That is the best way to get away and enjoy life.
I recommend Colorado!

Have you ever been to New York City? Or Paris? I think they are both great places to visit. Traveling alone is probably a little easier in a city because you won't stand out as much compared to like a vacation destination like Disneyworld or something like that. As I am writing this I just realized that the best place for a newly single guy traveling alone to go is LAS VEGAS. That is the answer the strip.

It depends on what your looking for on vacation. If you want to use this as your first opportunity to "mingle" and "party" then go to Las Vegas, Cancun or South Beach. If you're looking to get away from stress and life, relax and reflect, then I'd suggest a spa getaway. Not sure where you are located, but good spa resorts can be found in most states. One of my favorites is the Sonoma Mission Inn in Sonoma, CA. If that is out of your budget or geography then try the link below to search for one closer to your needs

Not really sure when you posted this question...
I live in Florida, and right now the weather's kinda muggy, very humid, and it's been raining a lot. Well, at least in Gainesville.
If you want to come to Florida, either go to Orlando, Jacksonville, Miami, and/or St Augustine! Those are really cool places to see, and I recommend ALL of them!
But, then again... I'm almost 18. I dunno if you'd be interested in the same things a teen would be. If you are, then that's great, and you're in for an awesome time in Florida! :)

Honestly I would have to say Cancun. I know it can be pricey but it is worth a little bit of money. You have to stay at one of those all inclusive resorts. Some good ones to check out are at www.palaceresorts.com because they take care of everything for you. Transportation, flights, food and let's not forget all you can drink. Plus there are plenty of cool people there and the resorts always have stuff going on if you want to participate or you can just chill by their amazing pools.
My favorite is the Moon Palace because I think it is one of the nicest. Plus they have golf.

that is a great idea for all you've been dealing with... Go to Vegas or Florida and have a blast... Look and talk to the pretty girls in bikini's on the beach and be free again...
Remember what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas...
btw, the only thing about a singles cruse is you have limited choice to who's on the boat... Florida and Vegas are huge and have tons of new people each day!!

Wow - this is sooo awesome of you. I wish I had the strength to go on vacation alone. I think any location would work. Just depends upon which climates you like and what you enjoy.

Being recently divorced I invite you to my home. I live in Miami, when you get there jump into a cab and tell the cabby to take you to JLo's place.
