And yet, the prisons are filled with Christians. I guess they must've been imprisoned as part of the conspiracy to persecute Christians.

I hate that "true Christian" argument. That's really a very uneducated Christian argument, as the intelligent Christians will tell you immediately that Christians sin, too, and that repentence is the issue.
Further, I think some Christian cultures - I'm thinking of fundamentalists here - have beliefs that mask mental illness, so a person may be a VERY devout Christian and still commit truly heinous crimes thinking that it is God's will or that they are saving their children's souls from satan or something. Such ideas would result in an immediate trip to a psychiatric hospital in other cultural groups.

No, David in the Bible was "a man after God's own heart" yet he murdered a man. A true Christian is truly sorry for the crime he has committed and does everything in his power to make things right.

Everyone is a sinner, including Christians, we are beings with free will. We have choices to make whether to break the rules or not.
Many who say they are Christians do break the rules so they aren't following the precepts set down by Christ Jesus. He gave us the rules so our life would not be complicated, some prefer the JerrySpring/Maury lifestyles, I don't see it as amusing as other do.
However, Jesus said our sins would be forgiven if we asked for Him for forgiveness. It's all about bad habits, He set down the rules, all because He loves us.
So you if you really followed the rules you could never be a criminal, you wouldn't steal, murder, committ perjury or adultry, get obsessed over what others have, be good to your folks and go to Church, I would think you wouldn't have time!

That's the problem with Christianity. (I am a Christian) So many people push works instead of faith. So many Christians don't want to associate with unbelievers because some of their sin might get on them. Christians are still human we are not sinless. If you say you are you are a hypocrite. We need to push faith first. Faith in Christ is what saves us not just being a good person. Good works will follow

This depends entirely upon how "crime" is defined.
It was a crime to not worship Nero, punishable by death.
It was a crime to aid runaway slaves from the South years ago.
Etc.
See what I'm shooting at?
A Christian obeys the laws as it is commanded by scripture, but of course they are not bound to obey the ones that violate the commands of God.

Omar Thornton and his taking photographs rampage in Connecticut may be an occasion. of direction the media concentrated extra on the murderers claims of "racism" against him, which allegedly brought about him to kill human beings. by no skill concepts that his black co-workers refuted his allegations, that in simple terms can't make the headlines. Eric Holder says the federal hate crimes regulations are no longer meant to guard white heterosexuals, so i think of they optimum regulation enforcement expert interior the country has positioned this difficulty to chill out.

Never heard a single Christian say that in my entire life. In fact, the only times I heard that was from atheists trying to make fun of Christians. The reality is that you people do not understand a single thing about Christianity, sad...

many people profess to follow a certain religion, and they call on God when they need him, but they do not live their every day lives following those religions, any person who commits a crime cannot profess to be a true member of their religion, whatever that may be.

that is not true at all. "true Christians" as you put are still human. yes alot of us strive to do the right things but nobody is perfect and people mess up. i believe Christians should hold themselves to a higher standard of behavior, but just because someone is saved doesn't mean they are perfect.
