I see so not content to get rid of non believers they are now starting on the animals.

Muslims are taught dogs are "unclean". Having a dog as a pet is prohibited in Islam. In fact, if a Muslim keeps a dog as a pet God will take away some heavenly reward

Not all devoted Muslims, I know some who were PETA members...but i don't think they are as devoted as you've think they are, they don't eat meat(especially pork) and they also donate to animal charity or volunteer for help(not in a regular basis though)
