which one? speed or rpm, the only easy way i know to do anything is with a programmer like hypertech, programmers can raise limits, but not take them off

Builttowheel is right on hoe to reprogram it. GM,Ford,Chrysler etc,etc limited the speed of the vehicle to what speed rating the tires had. So once ya change out the chip or reprogram it ,don't forget the tires and upgrade those to a higher speed rated tire so ya don't have a blow out. Was told about this by some engineers from Div,Headquarters engineering and design

All vehicles newer than 2002 are all through the chip. Why would you need to take it off though? You bought a p/u truck. anything over 100 and you're just asking to roll it. It's not a sports car...

the guy above is right if its a 2006 its going to have to be changed through the computer with a power programmer which is the best way

You can't unless you use an aftermarket program which will usually just up the governor, not remove it. Good luck.
