It is super fun, and it tastes good too, so what's wrong with it? I go hunting every year for squirrel, deer, turkey, bear, fox, pheasant, coyote, and quail. I think it is one of the best things to do outdoors.

Hunting is a cheap sport. All you need is a license and a gun.

Because there are too many people and so few wildlife, unlike during the "old times."

The problem is that the individual does not sense this on the global scale, and illegal hunting is quite a problem. The global conservation efforts have still not gotten the hold against depletion of species, destruction of food chain and habitats, pollution, etc.

Many people identify hunting with killing. Some would eat ham but never anything resembling animal shape. Vegetarians do not eat meat, but do compensate this with pills... Likewise, some people have a higher hunting instinct and enjoy fulfilling it.

If you don't mind all that, have a deeper pocket, respect the laws of man and rules of nature, you can still go to hunting areas with no one complaining (around :P).

I don't have a problem with hunting seasonal game using paid permits and following state regulations. I own several
firearms and (except for the Glock 17) the hunting prospects
are excellent in the Pacific Northwest. I'm inclined to believe
fellow citizens bear arms unsuited for the respected hunting
traditions that existed until American Police Personnel felt obliged to replace revolvers with semi-auto. The Federals
will probably be obliged to treat all citizens like it did at end
of the War Between The States. You give up your arms, swear a loyalty oath, and with good behavior your society
slowly returns to bringing home food acquired with legitimate
hunting weapons.

I'll do what i feel is right i hunt but i eat what i hunt i say if you kill it you eat it go ahead and hunt. it's just like having animals like cows, pigs, chickens and all that they kill them for us to eat whats next are they going to try to make everyone a vegetarian i mean come on leave us hunters alone. what do they want too many deer so that every 5 feet of road you see a dead deer or animal that got hit by a car i think getting hit by a car would cause the animal more suffering don't you.

Hunting is an art, a way of life, a controlled way of providing food for people. All people eat chicken. Is something wrong with killing chicken? No - and the same to hunting deer, antelope, etc.

Refer non-hunters to http://www.kalahari-trophy-hunting.com/Namibia-hunts.html and http://www.kalahari-trophy-hunting.com/hunting-definition-history.html

Seeing the Bushmen hunt (as the first hunter-gatherers) on the video of that page, may be a bit shocking for non-hunters, but today hunting are much more controlled and regulated.
And everybody has to eat, isn't it so?

I'm not much for hunting, but I really don't see anything wrong with it, people eat meat everyday and this is just another way of getting it. People treat animals better than humans, I mean look at all the homeless people on the street, and people treat them like trash....Hunting looks like a fun sport....

It all comes down to survival of the fittest. I love to hunt, and I will never stop. I love the tracking, the adrenaline rush before pulling the trigger, and the kill. My family enjoys the meat it brings.

My husband took down a 6 point (12 to you others :) ) roosevelt elk last year with the biggest rack he's seen with a 75 yard archery shot. Do something like that just once in your life, and you will be addicted. For those that disagree: don't knock something unless you've tried it.

I my opinion, true hunters do understand why some people are against hunting, firearms, and game meat. They respect people and their property, wildlife, and hunting regulations.

One thing mature hunters seem to understand is that the hunting experience is not all about them. There are many issues factored in. Your tone seems self - centred. I suspect you are hoping for controversy from your statement. I am not impressed ~ whatever!
