We just got a baby chihuahua, hes only 3 months. He got his first shots this Monday that past, including his wormer pill. He's been pooping worms here and there which is normal I know. My question is how long after he's had the dewormer pill should his worms stop? I was told about a weekish.

It can be anywhere from 24 hours to a few days depending on how high the worm infestation was. Also the puppy will need to be dewormed again by a vet in two weeks.

I don't know exactly how long it takes, but my vet always does a second deworming about 2 weeks after the first to catch any worms that might have hatched out of eggs laid internally.

Yeah it usually takes about a week ... if it goes longer then that them your pup needs a second dose!! =)
