Sky is clear of dust and other diffracting elements. Leaves are clean etc. There is a perception that under improved lighting the color is brighter than it was under clouds. The eye notices the change in the quality of the color and thinks it's clearer. As time goes by, the eye and m,ind adjust and the color doesn't seem as bright and clear. Optical illusion and a trick of how the mind perceives things.

Because the water is sucked up out of the ground and provides nutrients to the plant. Also if water is still on the plant light will refract through the water causing the green of the leaves on the plant to appear brighter than it really is. It's really kind of an optical illusion.

Because of all the natural nutrients that rain contains. Town supply water has so much of that taken out and replaced with chemicals and heavens knows what. Nothing better that a downpour of rain to get the plants looking fresh and revitalised.

When it's hot and dry certain plants go dormant especially the grasses. A good rain wakes them up - so to speak - and the chlorophyll that has been re-activated turns the plants back to green.

It is the water and the fertilizer from the lightning. It is NO2 and accelerates plant growth.

i believe that in the case of a good thundershower, nitrogen is converted to nitrate which promotes healthy plant growth.

you should read "THE HIDDEN LIFE OF WATER"and all the books by the author of this book, you see water is liquid life in itself, it washes , it quenches thirst and feeds all life what it needs to live, but it has has special properties too, just read the book and be surprized!

they need the water to live like us, and the rain washes off all the dust and pollen etc. the plants collect.

Because plants need water. Duh! And rain water is the cleanest kind of water, no chlorine or salts or minerals in it.
