I need an Ignition Canister and a Warm Up Regulator for a volvo 240 turbo (81-85). I've searched all over the internet, and all of their prices are in the hundreds of dollars. I'm just looking for some cheap used parts. Does anyone know of any SPECIFIC places (preferably online) where i can order those parts?

Please don't say "your local junk yard" - i've already checked there. I'm not an idiot and I'm not new to looking for parts online - but these older CIS parts are damn near impossible to find at a decent price.

unless corrosion damaged or heater element shorted or open the warm up regulators are easy to service [cleanliness is a must] and it is sugested you open a junk one from anything usless first to get the layout of the internals and proceedures [care of metal disc and o-rings] use pb blaster on internal screws be careful to not loose actuator pin when removing heater make sure pin plunger is free in disc retainer cover use drops of clean wheelbearing grease to hold pin and plunger in place for reassembely ports in housing are to be cleaned with spray carb clean[berkebile is good] and compressed air and a soft lint free rag must be used on the disc [DO NOT BEND OR FLEX THE DISC] and try not to get the o rings wet with carb cleaner [they tend to swell] generally [warm up reg. pressures are approx 23 psi at 65 degrees F and 51-54 psi at normal operating temp generaly no adjustment is needed after cleaning huwever driving heater post down [with a small hammer and a punch ] lowers the pressures [hot and cold] resulting in a richer mixture
i don't know what you meen by an ign. canister however i have successfuly installed blue grommet ford modules and coils to these cars [the o.e. bosch unit is horrendously expensive and almost impossible to get new or rebuilt.
good luck and have fun these are neet old cars

I've put a wanted ad on Craig's list for a 1989 Volvo 240 wagon and gotten almost immediate results. Besides that, check local junk yards for salvageable parts.

Try www.revolvstore.com
This is a Volvo-only salvage yard in Tucson, AZ. They do a world-wide business and just might have what you're looking for. I've been dealing with them for over 20 years and they never failed to come through.
