"Hoboken to Stamford weekdays, there are a few people like me who commute from Jersery City/Hoboken/Newark and other parts of New Jersey to Stamford,CT. So there is a strong need for a express train from Hoboken Terminal to Stamford,CT. This will enable all of New Jersey residents to commute and work in Stamford,CT and other parts of CT. Currently my commute is so tiresome, i take the JSQ PATH to 33rd( b$1.20), walk and take Yellow subway train to Times SQ ($2), walk and take shuttle train to Grand central, walk in grand central and take MTA to stamford ($12.25) which is very tiresome, so please put a train as soon as possible". This is the complaint i put in MTA website and they replied that they can't do it. I want to know if i can give a petition to anybody like the mayor, governer, minister of railways, even president of america, i want to know the process. Is there a way i can contact organizaations and get them to write a letter with all the signatures of people

Go to Newark NJ Penn Station and take Amtrak's Regional Service to Stamford.

{EDIT} For example, Amtrak Train 190 leaves Newark @ 6:22 AM and arrives in Stamford at 7:43 AM. Amtrak Train #175 leaves Stamford at 6:30 PM and arrives in Newark @ 7:52 PM.

{EDIT2} Once they complete the second Hudson tunnel and new stations around 2016 or so, perhaps such an express service would become possible.

You have to understand that the commuter railroads in NJ are run by a different company (NJ Transit) than the commuter railroad in NY (MTA). The MTA routes that operate out of Hoboken do not have track connections to Connecticut. To complicate matters the tracks in Connecticut are controlled by Amtrak (they also control the tracks in NJ and into NY Penn).

Doing a petition won't help because you are dealing with multiple railroad companies, 3 different states and Amtrak. There are just too many jurisdictions involved.

The idea of going over to Newark and taking Amtrak to Stamford would be a more workable idea but the amount of trains available is quite limited (according ot the Amtrak site there are no trains in the AM) and the cost is higher ($44.00 one way based on the Amtrak site).

Face it - you are stuck with a cumbersome trip, Maybe you should consider moving to Connecticut or ( heaven forbid) driving back and forth.

Yellow subway line? I can tell you haven't been in this area very long because no one calls the line by the color. It is either the route symbol (N,R,Q or W) or the line name - Broadway line.
