I'm nicking this idea from victoria beckham! She started off with three starbursts on the base of her beck to represent her, her husband and her first son. She added two more starbursts after her next two children. I really think they look nice and theyre classy. The base of your neck would be a good place to start for you because you could always build downwards towards your spine. I cant find any pics of the five stars, but heres some of the early ones....

I have a tattoo on my shoulder blade and it really wasn't painful at all. I have another one on my lower back that was more painful. If I were going to tattoo someones name on myself it would be for my child. Plus, it would be something special for the 2 of you when your daughter sees it and asks about it.

I saw someone who did the babys footprint (from her birth record) I thought that was a beautiful tattoo. Or something that represents her name, or have her name made into a butterfly, angel, flower or something like that.

ive seen a few different things..
you can do a butterfly with the name or initals
a heart with the name in it
her name with a cute design around it like flowers
the babys.. hand or foot print with name.. that seem to be getting popular.. more and more people are doing that

omg, at first i thought that you wanted to tattoo your baby! anyways, you might want to get like a heart with tehir names in it, to represant love, but you also might want to get it somewhere that isn't so visible, because later on in life, it could be imbarresing to you and or your children, and there is nothing worse than a grandmother with a big visible tattoo, but it would be a very special moment when your kids ask about it, it just depends on the type of person you are, i think it's soo sweet your doing this, good luck!

That's a sweet idea- although I first I thought you mean't one ON your baby. Phew! Well, you could put her baby footprints on your shoulder blade, or her initials in a heart...

a cute one is to take your babies handprint or footprint and get that its really cute you could do it with her name also they could transfer it to be the same as the actual ink prints i work at splish splash water park on long island ny and i have seen a couple with it and a father with it on his chest and he was with his daughter that looks around 7 its a good keepsake it reminds you of how much they have grown....hand prints would be cute you can get them done by a doc and take them to the place....this is better than getting a face b/c some ppl might mess it up idk but maybe you should also check if you are still breast feeding that it is okay to get a tat idk if it effects anything but i know certian meds have diff effects with tats good luck congrats and God Bless

Get her footprint on your shoulder. Then, if and when you have your next child, get their opposite foot than you first have. Like if you had your daughters left foot, get your next child's right foot a little below it, but next to it. That's what I would do.

you could put her initials in a pretty cursive and have something like a butterfly flying off (like that lunesta butterfly) or a five pointed star?
