When arrested for being under the influence of drugs it is similar to that of being arrested when under the influence of alcohol.

In a case where "contraband" is also found...that is added to the list of charge(s).

Once arrested you are taken to the local jail and booked. You are given a bond amount and once you post your bond, given a court date to appear before the court.

Your first appearance is where you are notified of the specific charges against you. The second and subsequent appearances are where you are given the opportunity to either plea innocent or guilty. If you plea innocent, you have a trial at which time you then sentenced.

you defintely get arrested. then it depends on what state you are in. some states allow the district attorney to press charges for internal possession. which is waaaay worse than merely being 'under the influence' and if you then live in a 'no tolerance' state such as idaho you could end up serving 6-10 years in prison. i have a friend who was on vacation in idaho and got busted for having less than 1/2 oz. of meth on her person and pulled 6 years in prison and is now out on parole. so i would say its not a good idea to have it on you or do it at all for that matter.

you go to jail with rotting teeth, hallucinations, peeling off skins, the withdrawals are very bad, that's why most meths addicts sleep for 2-3 days at a time, if they survive!!!
What a waste of life.

In Arkansas, at least in the county I live in, we have drug court. You have a chance to clean up your act. It is pretty tough. If you fail you go to jail.
