well one rather dramatic possibility that one might see as possible, would be "the veil" perforating and/or crumbling...or more decidely starting to, which would be a rather big deal.
that seems hard to fathom though.
I think the general idea though is some very very signifigant, world-impacting change.

Perhaps greater then 50% of the worlds population will believe in the existence of the other side and the continuation of life after death. A greater portion of the population will discover thier psychic abilities and the metaphysical will no longer be considered new age, but main stream.

For January 2012 I can assuredly predict that it will be winter in the Northern Hemisphere. The same for February. March will bring spring, April will bring the beginnings of warmth, May will bring forth the budding and blossoming of trees and spring flowers and new baby birds. June will bring summer, July will bring Fireworks around the 4th, and lots of picnics and swimming. August will be hot accompanied by lots of swimming. September will bring Autumn and still be fairly warm. October will bring falling leaves And at the END of October, lots of little ghosts and goblins, begging for sweets and handouts. November will bring Chilly Weather, and Turkeys and hams will be cooked and set out on MANY tables for all to eat. December will bring the snows of Winter with the last week bringing gifts from loved ones and gift FOR loved ones. At the end there WILL be the death of the old year and then the birth of the NEW year.
How's THAT for an acurate prediction? LOL

I wouldn't call myself psychic. But, I've heard a few predictions from respected sources say there may be a comet or an asteroid that makes a very deadly impact that year. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Unless everyone would like to pool their resources and build a spaceship, in order to avoid it. LOL But, then where would we go?

but i think around that time there are going to be major worldwide changes, that unites us more... good changes
I think this is what is meant when people think of the end times ....
the end of an age/era
the end of the world as we know it ..... not literally the end
