I think unfortunately they are too young to tell what the secondary breeds are in them, but they for sure have the characteristic features of a bassett. Not just the legs, but look at the length of the torso - definitely part bassett. But they may grow to be 3 ft tall at the shoulder, so it looks like it will be a wait and see sort of prospect.
When I worked at an animal shelter, I had fostered a litter of four pups. They looked to be spitz mixes, but when they came back for spay/netuer at 5 months, you could definitely see the collie in them. They were long legged and had a long muzzle. So it is anyone's guess what these pups will look like as adults. I can definitely say they do look very "houndy" and may not get to be much taller than a bassett. Either way, they are cute! Just be sure that the owners get mom spayed and you fix your pup too! Don't need to add to the already overwhelming overpopulation problem, but I am sure you already knew that!!
Good luck and post pictures when your pup gets a bit older! :D

i might would desire to assert no. "breed for a purpose; an appropriate that they carry their canines to" which will by no skill take place, as blended breed litters pop out diverse each and all of the time. as properly, what may be the point they're breeding for???? i understand of few breed mixes that are being bred for the different purpose than looks and funds. those are no longer solid motives to reproduce mixes. So as quickly as returned, no. everybody who purposely creates mutts isn't a accountable breeder. There are too many already dying interior the pounds.

It's really hard to say- when I look at them, all I see is beagle/basset hound. Maybe when they get older, they'll show traits of another breed, but right now they are all hound :) They are sooooooo cute!!!

First, i just want to say that they are adorable.
Well, I think that from these pictures, they are too young to give a definate answer.
Just because they are tri-colored doesn't mean they are a specific breed.
Example: http://secure.terrificpets.com/images/uploads/07011131341076_1.jpg
these are greater swiss, and they can grow to be 130#
Their heads do not have the 'apple' like shape that most beagles have.. maybe they have some foxhound in them.

Right now, it's so hard to see. To me, they look like mixes of basset hounds at this age. They're so cute, though! I want one!!!
