Does He really need it or is it our pride we wield?

Wow, you know, I had never really thought of that. I know the Lord doesn't have to have our defense, but I believe it makes Him glad when we do defend Him. I believe though, that many times, I myself have allowed my pride to be the force driving me to defend God, and I know that is not right....It should simply be my love for Him that drives me.

Your god is fatally flawed, there is no female representation. According to the book, The Gnostic Gospels by Elaine Pagels, P. 48, under - God the Father/God the Mother.
The God of Israel shared his power with no female divinity, nor was he the divine Husband or Lover of any. He can scarcely be characterized in any but masculine epithets; king, lord, master, judge, and father. Indeed, the absence of feminine symbolism for God marks Judaism, Christianity, and Islam in striking contrast to the worlds other religious traditions.)
If you look way back in antiquity into mythology, before Abraham even, you will find these male gods kicking around who created everything without aid of a female host. This is the same type god that christianity supports today.
Its the pride thing, religionists can't admit when they are wrong. Pride before a fall they say. Even the bible supports this male impostor - Joe begat Fred, Fred begat Peter, and so forth - Jesus is returning to take a man as Bride - Jesus loves men most of all - the precious son. We can see what harm this has done in the world to women.
Yes, the HeHim needs lots of defence because the veneer is wearing pretty thin on the totalitarian male entity.
What does, the whole world is being deceived by the wicked one, or, Satan is the ruler of this earth, mean?
Atheist for good reason.

I think sometimes it is our pride, but there are times when it must be defended.
Read 1 Samuel 45-47 when David is talking to Goliath.

David, a man after God's own heart could not bear to hear the name of his God disrespected in his presence. Should we not do the same?
I'm not saying that we should get a sling and smite anyone. I'm saying that we are God's children. Should we not defend who our lord and savior.
Also, look at Acts 7. Stephen's life is on the line, and he doesn't utter a single world in his own defense. What he does is to defend the gospel.
The word and sovereignty of the Lord is under attack. If we don't do our part in it's defense then who will?

Of course He doesn't need it. No matter what you believe or what action you perform, you will go to Heaven. If you created life and gave that life freewill, would you not be interested in the variety of thought and belief that that freewill gives the individual? He is interested in everything everyone does and respects us for why we live. When He created life He was very well aware of what freewill could bring so He was prepared. It does not hurt His feelings that some do not believe. But the ones that do defend His name He appreciates just a little bit more. There is no Hell, just ranks in Heaven.

Before the Rocks Cry Out I just have to Praise him! This is a verse from a song and part of a scripture. God wants praise, and he did destroy the idols of hebrew people with Moses. He proclaimed to be a jealous God and a Ten commandment forbids us to worship any made images. Defense needed nah but Jesus did commend us to go and tell his message.

I think it is pretty arrogant to even suggest that God needs some type of defense. Who exactly does HE need defense against. I have read the bible MANY times and I don't seem to recall any such statement where HE wants us to defend him.

No, no defence needed - others need to seek God!

"We know that the whole creation has been groaning...Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.

Of course he doesn't but he still wants us to do so. Do you think God wants people who don't say anything against unbelief and false accusations?

Jesus asked us to go all over the world to make disciples. Does he really need us? No, but that's the way he chose to make himself known to the world... through men. He wants us to proclaim the gospel all over the world.

Proclaiming the gospel includes its defense!

He doesn't need our defense of explanation. He said all he needed to in the Bible. What he needs is people intelligent enough to read it with an open mind.
God Bless!

You really would think he'd be able to stick for himself huh? What with all the omnipotence and knowing everything and all....

Or at the very least, he'd do a better job educating his representatives, so they don't come off looking like complete rubes the way they do....
