These are some of the questions that have been posed by atheists as "proof" that the whole god-thing is a untrue:
"If your god loves us so much, why can crabs regrow legs but humans can't?"
"Can anyone tell me why there is no mention of dinosaurs in the bible?
Bit of an anomalie don't you think? especially when we actually have physical proof they existed. "
Now I'm not saying that atheists don't have a lot of valid reasons to support their hypothesis of there not being a god, but surely there must be some better reasons than these. I'm not asking for you to tell me them, but don't you think that questions like this just demean the whole atheist culture? It's meant to be a belief of logical and intelligent thought - on some kind of higher plain than that of "mere" religion.
These questions are right out of kindegarten!!

Another "logical" atheist argument to add to the list:
" If God really exists why would it let the floods happen? "

why would I bother to address the above questions on this particular question? I've already addressed them where they were asked...... and made pretty good answers if I do say so myself *polishes nails and looks smug all the while keeping tongue firmly in cheek*

The reason why atheists reflect on such instances and utilize them for arguements opposing the Christian faith is that as with most Christians they are not true intellectuals and often avoid studying the Bible in its entirety and as well, any genre of science. Most often they rely on what the atheist person before them said in some other dynamic that sounded reasonable and touche'-ish...rather than coming up with their very own thought provoking relative question.
You can't answer a question that someone vehemently opposes the answer to. As well, is it really asking a question when one doesn't desire the answer but truely believes they have stumped the asked?
The Bible is a feat of ingenuity and design as are all created things in this universe and while MOST people are ignorant and choose to remain so, intelligence has every thing to do with how much a person is able to comprehend and understand...an atheist never gives too much understanding to any given aspect with regards to faith except where it "seems" to support their own position. One thing atheist often mistake is that most of the so called "scientific" foundations of the world were built on the intellects of men of faith. Intelligence and faith are not mutually exclusive...intelligence and bigotry go hand in hand though. I'm sorry you feel so embarrassed by your atheist counterparts and their sophomoric ideals. I'm in the same boat with those of my faith who carry around that precious document but fail to read any of it before prattling away to people like you. You wanna see frustration...Look at the face of an atheist when you have answered one of these inane questions without quoting scripture...you want to see an atheist run for the hills just bring up irreducible complexity or offer up the complete mechanics of the so called simple cell and the DNA machines. Why don't you look some of that up and ask Christians about those certain subjects that science can't answer? Love in Christ, ~J~

Most of those questions are logic based. They are also based on very old arguments that have never ever been answered.
One question is directly aimed at why God does not miracle amputees new limbs, no matter how much you pray. Another is about the accuracy of the Bible. The normal answer we get for that has been given in that it requires careful study and some creative reading.
Many of the questions are not directed at university professors. Many questions are throw aways intended only to start a person asking the other questions, seed questions if you prefer.
If I tried to outline a complete question about the Problem of Evil and the Catholic and Calvinist take on it It would not fit in the question box. Not the Yahoo question box or the *Question Boxes* of most Christians.
The same is true of most of the questions that could be asked. So simple questions that hopefully expose the logical or historical problems are often the most effective.
Many of the hardcore Christers are beyond the reach of reason anyhow. You can tell by the absolute irrelevance of the answers that they post. So, If God is all knowing and dictated the bible and the history of the planet, why did he not mention the Dinosaurs, or explain Plate Tectonics.
What we ended up with instead of how it works was "God works in mysterious ways, and how dare you question God's works!"
If the questions are so simple why are they so hard for the believers to actually answer them
Atheist seem to be more intelligent based on several studies done over the past century. It is a measured result from well designed surveys and polls.

They are each individuals, so naturally there are going to be some less intelligent ones than others. And Atheism isn't necessarily based on logic and intelligent thought, it's just a disbelief that there is some deity that created everything or controls everything.
If being an Atheist required intelligent thought and logic, then they would realize that any argument given should be able to apply outside of the subject at hand, or even extended to be more inclusive concerning the subject at hand. This statement can be directed at the "Can anyone tell me why there is no mention of dinosaurs in the bible? Bit of an anomalie don't you think? especially when we actually have physical proof they existed." question. The question should apply to other animals as well, then. Why are there no mention of giraffes or wombats, or a thousand other animals? Simply put, like so many other books of non-fiction it is limited in it's references of all matters, and tries to include only those that seem essential to the message it is attempting to convey.
Another argument often giving is "If nothing existed before God, then where did God come from?" However, if this is a valid argument, then it should be applicable to "If everything was formed from something like the Big Bang, then where did all of the mass come from at the beginning of the Big Bang?"
Other questions assume that the person asking is on the same level as God would be concerning thought and motivation, or neglects to attempt to understand any thought or motivation God may have through what has been written in the Bible (which, of course, would be the source one should first go to try to find any understanding on the matter). "If your god loves us so much, why can crabs regrow legs but humans can't?" and " If God really exists why would it let the floods happen? " falls under this statement. It assumes that since they themselves wouldn't do such a thing as a sign of their love, then some deity wouldn't, or even that such a being wouldn't have the motivation to do so. However, the Bible does show some glimmering into the workings of God's mind. We supposedly have been given freewill and are being tested. If God intervened to always prevent bad things from happening and/or made us so that we could easily overcome any obstacle, then freewill wouldn't exist nor would we be facing any trials. Also, you would be mistaken to believe that even another person would be motivated to do or not do something simply based on what you would do or not do, and other people are much more similar to you than God would be.
To sum this up, the people asking these type of questions haven't intelligently attempted to think them through or tried to find the answers from what is available. The questions are simply a knee-jerk reaction to their belief that nothing is superior to them.
Oh, and people reading this will likely assume I'm a Christian, which I'm not. I do know how to think logically and reasonably, though, and have bothered to study the sciences, mythology, and religious beliefs, all the while asking and searching for answers of my own volition.
For the Rationalist down below, science is not true, nor do scientists know it to be true. Science is composed of theories which are accepted (not known)as truths until shown to appear to be unsubstantial. They are supposed truths, but not absolute truths. And since one's own existence can not be proven, then they are all based on at least one assumption. Science is as much based on belief as any religion is.
And I suggest you stop being one of those people who accepts hearsay that sounds good to you. Many a prominent scientist is and has been a person of religious faith. You'd know this if you actually bothered to toss aside your biases and base your views on actual research.

Until a study takes into account EVERY Christian and EVERY non-Christian, it's not completely accurate.
I'm a Christian and former member of Mensa and I know many other Christians that would probably qualify for Mensa as well.
"What's Mensa?" you may ask?
"Membership in Mensa is open to persons who have attained a score within the upper two percent of the general population on an approved intelligence test that has been properly administered and supervised. There is no other qualification or disqualification for membership eligibility. "
"These are some of the questions that have been posed by atheists as "proof" that the whole god-thing is a untrue:"
Those questions are not PROOF. If they say it is, they're PROVING :) they're not as intelligent as they say they are. ;) :D
The most anyone is going to be able to offer is EVIDENCE to support their side. There's no PROOF for either side.

If God existed why did he make fleas, that is what I want to know.I'm an atheist and I have just dropped out of Kindergarten,it was a bit too difficult for me,they were talking about some dude walking on water, and turning water into wine (I started to take a shine to him after that one)but when he fed five thousand with two loaves of bread and a couple of goldfish is when I cracked up,oh yes and resurrecting Lazarus from the dead, what a scream that was.

No they are not smarter, they are just more reasonable. We all want a god that would solve the problems of the world, but it ain't. Look what religion and god has brought about and tell me it good. Before you place blame on man you must look at the root cause and that would be god. Once you understand its like having health Insurance verses not having health insurance. You have the god insurance and believe you are safe, but that only true if you continue paying the price. That is hooray for me and Fock the rest, what type of loving god would impose such harsh rules other than a rich human god looking for power.

I'm an atheist and I understand where you're coming from. You have to understand though that it can be very frustrating for atheists when we provide so much evidence for our theories and yet people still choose to ignore the truth, whereas a religious person only has to quote a verse of scripture and is believed. Sometimes it becomes so frustrating that it's easier just to say something short and sweet like "why there is no mention of dinosaurs in the bible?".

Those questions are totally valid! We just never get any answers from you guys. It's always danced around just as any question we pose that makes sense to ask. There's proof of the existence of dinosaurs, right here on Earth, yet your bible makes no mention of them? HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN THAT???
The bible is a ridiculous ancient text that has no validity now and really never did. It was written by primitive people with primitive minds, and you base your current life on that? Give me a break!

Christians always say look around at how beautiful the planet earth is. Well no, The continent of Africa is starving to death. Every continent is being struck down by natural disasters killing those who can not defend themselves.
If there was a God. Earth would not be the way it is.
And about your questions, I thought it was pretty clear to everyone who's read any part of the bible that it was written by men who were educated 2000 years ago, so I guess we are more intelligent if you fell for it.

Actually atheism like christianity has its down sides. The fact is that we don't know if either of them are true or not. Your religion has nothing to do with your intelligence. Your intelligence comes from what your good at. You don't have to be good at mathematics either, you can still be smart and be a gamer. Your intelligence is more based on if you have common sense or not. Meaning if you think you can clean an electronic device by washing it, your not very bright.
