Anyway, women depend on men because women are still breaking out of the social conformity that men are the "heads of household." Men in years past took the lead, and women, as well as many men, still have those insticts, to let the man be the "head of the household." It's a bit difficult for women because many fundamentalist Christian families still operate under the belief that women are made to cook, clean, and take care of the kids.

Then again, I could have your meaning completely backward, and you could be saying that women in a relationship become extremely attched to men and therefore extremely dependent, emotionally, upon them. In that case, it works both ways. Men can be just as dependent on women. Some women, like myself, have figured out that to have a lasting relationship, a woman (or man) needs to first be her (or his) own person. But many women, especially at a young age, are more keen to jump right into a relationship and be always dependent upon the man, emotionally and financially.

The first question asked by you is difficult to answer. Lots of researchs are going on to find the mystery of life. Life is simply unpredictable.
Your second question is very much important. It is not always that women are dependant on men but to a large extent it is true. It is due to the wish of the capricious nature. Nature gave more power to men rather than women. In case of brain power, of course, women may fail some men but in general men got a higher power of reasoning.
On the other hand, the physique of men is created in such a way that they can be a father of a child. A women is designed by nature to be a mother. So naturally she got the intension to broght up her child. So, it is expected that a woman will do the work at home and a man will go outside for earning.
Now a days, both men and women work at office to ern, so they are not always dependant on men.

I believe that is changing. Women have hearts and often it is love that keeps a woman hanging on to a man. Yet, the old fashion idea that a man is the answer for all happiness and future joy is fading.
