You assume the story has any validity at all. It's not just hard to believe because it is an outrageous story, but also because it really has nothing to back it up.
Most religions have a story about how their pet god or prophet had a virgin birth. It is a common way to add mystery to the character. If you look into the stories, though, you'll find they are told by people who really can't know the history of the person, if the person existed.
Jesus is no exception. The whole New Testament was written decades after Jesus died, if he existed at all. The earliest writer about Jesus was Paul / Saul, and he didn't mention a virgin birth. Decades later, the story was suddenly "remembered" by Mark and later copied by Matthew, Luke, and John.

It was very popular back then to be born of a virgin. The pagans had their gods born of a virgin. Since people even then knew that it took a man and a women to create a life they must have thought that a virgin birth was just down right god stuff.
I am not sure of your supposition but women do not get pregnant by themselves. It takes a man's semen. Sorry religious people that is just a simple fact of life. Plus, was it god or an angel of god. If it was an angel of god is that still god? And if it is not god then jesus is not the son of god but the son of an angel.
Plus does god have a body / form or is it formless? If it is formless how then could it impregnate a women I mean without a penis or sperm?
These stories are fiction used to scare the simple minded into being controlled by the few that " speak to god" or "speak for god"
Free your mind and do not follow such childish nonsense.

There are many things wrong in churches these days, but there are many things right that you will never hear about. God will deal with the fakes, the lairs, the sinner. I realize that you ask this is a demeaning sarcastic way, not really for in-site, but insult, but I will attempt to answer in a way that even a mind such as yours could understand.
1. we are not all God's children, God created each and every one, but, you can not be adopted into the "family" of God without the accepting Jesus Christ as savior, and as the payment of the debt of sin that you owe.
2. Mary was a virgin, and no it was not rape, but a unbelievably honer for her to be chosen for this task, She was chosen for her ancestry lineage, as well as her virtue. She was engaged to a just man, who as you point out could have had her stoned, but because he trusted the message that God reviled to him, he did the correct and honorable thing by accepting the Christ Child, and providing as his own
Your mocking does not bother me, but you may one day regret it. Past mocker of a holy God include Angus Young with AC DC drowned in his own vomit, Hitler - Blew his brains out Stalin died a painful slow death, King Herod rotted from the inside.

What is wrong with you? Why don't you read the Bible or the book Two From Galilee. Mary was a virgin, she was impregnated but it never mentions actual sex, it was not rape and you cant even call it molestation because in that time girls were literally women as soon as they got their periods and were married off. They were generally more mature in that time and while Mary was probably close to fourteen she might as well have been nineteen. I think you hav problems. Why do I waste my time telling you this?

If it were true, which, I mean COME ON, it's NOT, then yes, you would be right on! I've thought the same thing about that totally hallucenatory fairy tale. Remember, they didn't have refrigeration! They were all on some ancient "trip" writing down every weird thing they saw or heard. Yeah, a virgin gave birth, good one! She must have had some good power of persuasion or been a hottie, because like you said, any other chick would have been stoned to death. Give me a break!

I am not surprised that you can't understand any of this. Even Atheists who claim to have high IQ's (which I'm sure they do) can't understand God's word. To do so, you have to have a willingness to believe -- an open heart and mind to God, which you don't. You don't want to try to understand, because you take more pleasure in twisting the words of the Bible into something unholy (which shows in your avatar) and sinful.
1 Corinthians 2:14 -- The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

I think your icon is the answer to your question. You're pissing on this story using intellectual pissy.
From any teachings, ask yourself: "Is the teaching true in my life?" Obviously the virgin birth story makes no sense to you in your life. I suggest that you just move on and find something that does.

Bah on the bible. We all know its a fairy tale and a very inconsistant one at that. I love God as I believe in His existance but as for Jesus..."God why hast thou forsaken me"? doesn't sound like he willingly died for our sins...

"Reformers" decided to ignore the canon determined by the Christian Councils .
Luther removed those books from the canon.
Prayers for the dead (Tobit 12:12; 2 Maccabees 12:39-45)
Intercession of dead saints (2 Maccabees 15:14)
Intercession of angels as intermediaries (Tobit 12:12-15)
James 5:16 tells us that "the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" -- and who is more righteous than Mary, the woman chosen by God to bring forth His very Son?
They object and say, 'Our Lord is enough for me. I have no need of her.'
But He needed her, whether we do or not. God, Who made the sun, also made the moon. The moon does not take away from the brilliance of the sun. All its light is reflected from the sun. The Blessed Mother reflects her Divine Son; without Him, she is nothing. With Him, she is the Mother of Men."
She is more that some really cool, spiritual woman who acted as a surrogate mother for the Holy Spirit; she gave to Jesus His humanity in the same way that all mothers give to their children their humanity. He took from her His very Flesh and Blood! It was through her that our Lord "was made of the seed of David according to the flesh" (Romans 1:3)
God allowed Mary to act as the New Eve, playing a role in man's redemption as the First Eve played a role in Man's fall. He "needed" Mary in order for there to be a New Eve and in order to fulfill the words of the Prophets.
It was through Mary's obedience to God and by the blood of her Son that she was redeemed.
There is no one in all of History whose relationship with God is as complex, fulfilled, and achingly beautiful as Mary's. She is not only the greatest of Saints, she is our Mother, as Jesus is our Brother and Savior. In honoring her, we honor Him -- and imitate Him, as we are admonished to both honor our parents and imitate Christ, Who loved His Mother. Our relationship with Mary is that of a child to a blessed Mother who was given to us as Jesus gave her to John at the Cross.
Catholics take great care in pointing out that "worship" in the sense of latria 3 is GOD'S alone -- even to the point of having separate terms for the honor and adoration due to God as opposed to the honor and veneration of the Saints -- including His greatest Saint, Mary.
Love, is infinite! We can love and adore Jesus, love and venerate Mary, love the other Saints, and love each other without depriving anyone (or Anyone) of anything. How many children can you have without running out of love? How many friends? What we "spend" in love is replaced many times over; love for Christ can only bring the fruits of more love to give.
To love Mary takes nothing at all from Christ, but honors our Blessed Lord by Whose grace she is who she is: His greatest creation, the greatest of Saints, the Queen of Heaven, the Immaculate Conception, the spotless Virgin, the Ark of the Covenant, the New Eve, the mother of God, and the mother of Israel .
Her soul magnifies the Lord (Luke 1:46-55)!
.
