Evidence for Lilith is Isaiah 34:14, which in the NRSV reads, "there too Lilith shall repose." Most major translations of the Bible now read something to the effect of "night creature" or "screech owl."

The reference to Lilith as the wife of Adam comes form the "Alef Bet of Ben Sirah", a boko which is rejected by the Rabbis as either
1) a work of fiction or
2) intended to ridicule the Jews

I'm afraid the idea of Lilith as Adams first wife is just nonsense.

The Lilith in Isaiah is a reference of a shaid (kind of spiritual creature used by God to perform negative acts) sent to induce miscarriages- and even then it is at the order of God, since nothing besides God and humanity have free will.

I have heard of Lillith, dont believe the stories that she was Adams first wife though. As for your reference, the verse is talking about wild animals that are going to reside in a particular place, the place will be laid to waste and only animals (it lists a bunch) will reside there. Why are people always taking verses COMPLETELY out of context? An owl is an owl!

Lilith was and still is a fictional character.

Eve was the first woman.....get over it.

We are not to add to, or take away from Scripture.
