Just wondering, If the Haitian's power is supposed to negate any being's power within in his range, what would happen if Peter Petrelli stood beside him? Would Peter's power be neutralized or would he still be able to absorb the Haitian's power? Same question with Sylar standing beside the Haitian, would his brain eating power transfer work? (Eating their brains is the way he can absorb his victim's powers that I can think of) : P

In the episode where Peter saved Claire, the cheerleader, Sylar and the Haitian did meet. The Haitian came up behind him and used his power to subdue him with help from Eden, the girl with persuasion power. Sylar has other powers too from his brain eating like telekinesis that they want to keep in check. After he was captured and placed in Primatech, the Haitian was nearby to use his power on him, but they used drugs to help keep him in check as well. I think the Haitian's power relies on line of sight. In other words he needs to see you to use his power on you as well as have time to concentrate on you. In the episode where Mr. Bennet and the Haitian had Nathan Petrelli cornered. Even though he was near Nathan he failed to stop him from flying away. His powers didn't automatically stop him even when he's in range. Nathan flew away faster than the Haitian had time to stop his power. As for Peter. Peter's power works by range. When he met Ted (nuclear powers), he didn't have to concentrate to copy his power he just had to be near him. If Peter met the Haitian he would probably copy his power quicker than the Haitian could stop him.
