did he never step one someones toes? did he never fart in public? is everything to which one would say "oops! sorry about that!" a sin? and did Jesus do none of those things? would his mission on earth have failed if he stepped on somebody's toes and apologized? in fact, did he ever apologize for anything, or do you have to sin in order to have a reason to apologize?

some weird answers. Some people seem to suggest that something is only a sin if it goes against the ten commandments. But isn't "do unto others as you want others to do unto you" an extremely important rule, if not the most important? Isn't anything that goes against that rule a sin? I agree that stepping on someone's toes is not very worldshattering, but it is wrong, and it is something we are responsible for (if we look where we put our feet down we can prevent it). See some people think that "sin" is just another word for "wrong"

but apparently you some of you don't?

Obvious ignorance about the concept of sin displayed here.

Sin is the propensity of selfishness - you have an urge and regardless of the affect it as on someone else you are quite willing to carry it out. It is the out right disobediance of God's laws which are designed to keep us from sinning. Yes, as sin can be carelessly offending others and causing someone harm because of neglect....a consequence of our humanity and fall from grace has not only mired us down with a great many selfish urges but also created a world that is fraught with in the inability to avoid in total hurting someone else unintionally. However, with regard to Christ...He was blameless and without sin in this manner...in all the sins that could condemn a person to destruction such as infidelity, hatred of another, theft, lying, coveting and greed, sexual immorality...every sin known to man...He bore for us even though He was blameless of any wrong doing. There are several people in the Bible who "walked with God" and for whom God was pleased...but none so much as His own Son. When a person in Christs position is set before a people to lead, teach, heal and live, die and live again in their place I'm sure provision was made to leave as little room open for ridicule and fault finding as possible. He was human though..fully human and fully God. Besides Gods laws there are the human standards we have set for ourselves called manners. Just as in foriegn countries where it is polite to belch after a meal...often expected...maybe a rustic, ancient people such as the Jews were accustomed to certain functions that we now find to be taboo. You know the Greeks and the Romans had no trouble with any of it. Love in Christ, ~J~

Your understanding of sin is off key, so it would be very hard for you to understand. Christ, steped on a lot of toes, but the toes he steped on where in the wrong place to Begin with. He told people the truth and sometimes that hurts, but the truth will stand when all else fails. Natural body functions are the way God created us, they are not a sin, you can be rude, and crude but that is not a sin, just very bad manors. I doubt that he ever needed to apologize to anyone, Never did he offend to be offending, if they where hurt by the truth, so be it.

In the Christian faith, a "sin" is the deliberate disobeying of God. Stepping on someone's toes would be clumsy, but not a sin.

The Bible records no incidences of Jesus having to apologize to anyone.

First of all you need to get the word sin correct, Sin is not Farting, Step on someone's toes. Sin is Unbelieveth, Jesus was born without the sexual act due to the fact that if he had been born by the sexual act, he would have been born with sin in him, Jesus was sinless. I don't find one place in the bible that says if Jesus farts, that he sinned, In fact that thought is only in your mind, & the reason it is, is because you would like to bring Jesus down to your level of stuputity, & you have failed to,

I would think that calling the pharisees a 'generation of vipers', or 'hypocrites' would be equivalent to stepping on someones toes, but it is not a sin; and Jesus did not need to apologize for telling the truth.

Stepping on someone's toes and farting are not sins. Just because it's polite to apologize for something doesn't mean it's a sin.

He could have apologized for stepping on someone's toes, or farting in public, neither of which constitute a sin. It would naturally be too insignificant to ever be written down.
