this was part of the Jewish teachings
Lilith was said to be Adams first wife and she was created from dirt in the same way as Adam , so created as an equal
Adam wanted a more submissive wife and was not happy
so Lilith was banished and Eve was created from Adam so that she was not equally created
it is then said that Lilith became a demon
she IS mentioned in the Book of Isaiah 34:14

Hi, I would recommend a good modern translation, maybe the New Living, or Holman's Christan Standard. Even better is the one my wife got me which is a parallel bible with the King James Version in one column, and the New Living in the second, its great to read and understand, but also to have the reference point of the King James. As to your question, Adam did not have two wives, man men in the Bible did, but not Adam, he had two sons.

King James ordered a sparkling translation of the Bible after following the instructions of the loose masons. The early loose mason circulation accompanied the instructions of the e book of enoch a e book it somewhat is common as pseudopigography, ie it relatively is between the books it somewhat is disregarded of the Bible. It tells a wierd tale approximately Enoch who replace into taken via God to a land interior the North the place he replace into taught secrets and techniques of the international together with astronomy etc. some recent researchers have pointed out this place as being in eire. King James replace into certainly a loose mason!

There is no mention of a second wife for Adam. That is a Jewish tradition which became popular around the 2nd century BC. She was supposedly named Lilith, and was created before Eve. She supposedly was the first vampire.
So no, you did not miss it when you read the KJ Bible. It is not in there.

Adam didn't have two wives. There is a fable of a second mate for him named Lilith. However, its folklore from acient times that has no scriptural basis.

I think you're referring to Lilith. She crops up in Jewish mythology as Adam's first wife, but not in the Bible (although the name apparently crops up, translated in the KJB as screech owl). Apparently she was in origin a Mesopotamian demon.
I love this stuff.

i don't know anything about a second wife and i have read that story plenty of times so i would say that is all mythology (meaning fake) but i will say that reading the Bible twice is not sad at all, it's more than most Christians have done, i can assure you. that is something to be glad about, i'm proud of you!

I hav been told that Adam had another wife who was evil or something? But any version other than what the bible says is untrue. There is nothing in the bible about Adam having more than one wife.
If he had had another wife, we kno Eve wouldve kicked his butt. j/k.

Christianity and Judaism teach that a first wife was named Lillith.
She didnt want to be in the missionary position all the time so she rebelled and then became an evil goddess.
