so... if he sometimes heal cancer... why dont we have testimonies of a regenerated limb?

2007-07-27 00:48:11 · update #1

i know what you mean (((pangel))) but... since god is all-powerful, this shouldnt even be an ounce of a problem...even crabs regenerate a lost limb without praying.

Because God will heal who He wants.....and when He wants.

It's not up to us....it's up to Him.

Just trust in Him.....and stop questioning the "why nots"......

Edit:

God is NOT obligated to answer any of our prayers or questions. Can we peer into His eternal councils? Can we explain all there is to know of Him?

I don't think so.....He is greater than us........and who are we to question Him?????

The first answer is mere a parody . Parodying a question is not best way to respond even to the most foolish esestion. The questioner has asked it in earnest. The other answer is just escapism. The questioo is specifically addressed to Christians. I am not a Christian and normslly not expected to take up the question. However, I feel that the questioner is misinterpret matter. When the cancer is cured it is cured with nomal medicines but a devout thanks god for delivering him from the calamity in an earnest feeling of gratitude. Now the medical science has progressed and the day would not be far off when it may be possibly to grow the amputed limb by suitable medication.Where will the questioner will stand then. Will he turn a devout Christian for this 'miracle'?

I am not a Christian but I always find this question a little silly
lets think about things for a moment ....

the removal and healing of a tumour is way different than putting a limb back on that would be little more than dead tissue after a little time of being removed
the body is amazing and let's say that through the placebo affect it can self heal ...
if people wish to attribute this to prayer , then thats great

The bible tells us that God is not partial. He would not choose to heal one person over another. That said, He has NOT performed miraculous healings since the days of the apostles. The bible tells us these types of things will stop (1Corinthians 13:8, 9). Mankind can no more explain why some cancers dissolve any more than they can explain how to cure it themselves. People use unexplained "healings" or recoveries from illness or life- threatening situations as a source of inspiration and faith- building by crediting God with it. God tells us there will be a time when He will do away with sickness and death for EVERYONE in Revelation 21:4. He doesn't pick and choose certain people to do this for in advance. You won't find a scripture in the bible that indicates this.

it is nothing more than subjective reality...people for the most part cannot see a cancer[usually internal] as opposed to a missing limb that they can turn and look at anytime they want to..it becomes a reminder of their past and they tend to trust their eyes more than the voice within..their eyes tell them that this is real and it looks so permanent - where as a cancer is internal you mentally approach it differently it is something within and therefore requires a within solution which is where most imagine god does its work..truth is it all stems from a lack of belief in themselves a limb can regrow itself but at this point no one known has done it so humanities small mind does not accept it...anything you can accept without apprehension becomes reality for the individual...healing ones self is not that hard but you have to have to know you can do it and at this point 99%of humanity knows not

A Christian woman lives in our street. She got breast cancer (like a pin prick of cancer)
she told them to remove the whole breast. She then told everyone gods hand was on her. I can't see how that can be if her breast was cut off can you? I don't believe in god, but I guess he judged her for listening to AC/DC music.

Who says he doesn't, ever hear of a doctor reattaching a limb. They say that its a miracle if it takes.

Jesus is the solution to every challenge including amputees. There are testimonies of bones and flesh regrown in our contemporary times. Remember the leper that was cleansed, he came and gave thanks to Jesus and he was made whole. I wonder what that was if his bones were not regrown and straightened out. Turn on your faith brethren.

Nuch

Expect much stupid rhetoric in place of answers. "Don't question God, he makes all the decisions himself!"

primoa, as always, gives the expected half-arsed rationalization... just stop asking questions. BOW DOWN BEFORE YOUR MASTER, DO NOT QUESTION HIS HYPOCRITICAL WAYS.
"Just trust in Him.....and stop questioning the "why nots"...... "

The minute you stop questioning everything, you start believing anything.
