I am going to Central Park for the first time, and I will probably be there all day. Also, I will be going to the summerstage show on Sunday night. Is there anywhere to eat in Central Park that is not expensive. I know I could bring a picnic like bag, but I really do not want to carry much stuff while walking around. Is there a burger, or hot dog stand there?

Yes, you can find a hot dog cart on just about any block in NYC. If you just walk on the surrounding blocks of Central Park, you can find some delis and bring your sandwich back to the park. Food can be expensive but just look at the menu before you order....sandwiches and stuff like that are pretty reasonable. Have a great time!

The hot dog carts are still the best bargain in town. In fact, I saw a well known TV star, Jimmy Walker, buying dogs for him and his family at one of those Central Park hot dog carts.

A nice place that isn't too expensive is Dallas BBQ on 72nd St tween CPW and Columbus for about $15-$20 each including a soda, (not alchohol) you can get a nice meal. Mixed drinks cost about $10
