I actually use tension to tell me how I'm feeling about situations that I'm in. Last Sunday, for instance; I was carrying a huge amount of tension. Knew I was out of my element, knew that I had to draw back in. Had to keep manuevering myself into a more functioning place and finally just made up something to humor myself into releasing it.
"this day sucketh further", Now, I've taught the kids something I may regret.

At the end of the day, it was just one big joke and sharing the supposed castrophies finished the job. It all seemed a riot.
Tension gone. My feeling is, 'read your body', pay attention to what it is saying to you, and continually release yourself into the situations that come. This is an aspect of self-awareness. And get a shoulder rub!

The crazy part about tension is... the more you think about it, the more you have. While the less you think about it, the less you have.

Oh wait, I just described Life, in a nutshell, didn't I... hehe

I will have to say that I have my fair share of tension, but it's no-thing I can't handle. Sometimes I think I like the tension; it's almost like a mental challenge. Weird, aren't I?

One of the most important principles of Islam is that all things belong to God, and that wealth is therefore held by human beings in trust. The word Zakat means both 'purification' and 'growth'. Our possessions are purified by setting aside a proportion for those in need, and, like the pruning of plants, this cutting back balances and encourages new growth.
Zakat is the amount of money that every adult, mentally stable, free, and financially able Muslim, male and female, has to pay to support specific categories people.
This category of people is defined in surah at-Taubah (9) verse 60: " The alms are only for the poor and the needy, and those who collect them, and those whose hearts are to be reconciled, and to free the captives and the debtors, and for the cause of Allah, and (for) the wayfarers; a duty imposed by Allah. Allah is knower, Wise." (The Holy Qur'an 9:60).

I practice yoga about 5 days a week and have noticed that once we shed one layer of 'tension' there is another and another. It's like peeling an onion to find the peace but it's well worth the practice. Blessings
