First of all I don't like Steven Seagel! However there is NO CONCRETE evidence that this incident actually occurred! Seagel is a hated man by powerful people who can make up harsh rumors to bring him down.

The other thing is that in each post/article I have read no one seems to agree on what actually happened! On top of that some say it happened on the set of "Exit Wounds" others say it happened on the set of "Under Siege" and yet others say it happened on the set of "Out for Justice"!!!!!!!! NO one seems to no what happened IF ANYTHING EVER HAPPENED!

What do you guys think??? Give FACTS!

I won't believe anything I can't see. One day at the office I jump on a guy who is bigger than me ( he also know martial art ), and I put a sleeper hold on him while he is sitting on his chair ( just for laugh because he always brag about how good he is ) after a short struggle he almost pass out. Of course the next day when he recover we fought again this time he was ready and I got my *** kick. So unless the fight between Gene and Steven is in the Octagon, it doesn't count because maybe Gene surprise Steven by jumping on him like I did with my friend. Remember even if you think that judo is better than aikido Steven is bigger and alot younger than Gene so the outcome is uncertain when both are ready. One of the answer mention that Gene also beat Bruce 5 times at his resident, that's alot of laugh. I read about that, Bruce try to perfect his grappling skill to supplement his already perfect striking skill so he invited Gene over to practice with him on the mat. So Gene beat Bruce on the mat 5 times. If it's a real fight in the street, Gene would eat some kick and punches from Bruce and have a hard time take Bruce down to the ground.

No facts from me. But I do have some good hearsay stories. As I heard it the fight took place on Gene’s front lawn. The trash talking had been going on, and Steve came over to argue face to face. Then got dumped.

But if it did happen on a movie set, you’d think there would some eyewitnesses.

The story has been around in the LA Judo community for many years. Personally even though Gene is like 50 years older than Seagel, I’d put my money on Gene. Judo and ground fighting are like kryptonite for Aikido guys.

Funny how people like making crap up to bring down the guys with the tough reputations. Gene LeBell would have been dead meat if he were to fight a prepared Bruce Lee in one on one in a real fight for honor.

It's easy to talk smack about how Bruce wasnt a real fighter and that he lost to so and so now that he's dead and since we're all anonymous here online.

Bruce Lee was the fastest strongest quickest fighter I have ever seen and I have seen thousands. He never used steroids like these wrestlers and MMA freaks and he didnt need to claim he knew BJJ or Judo. He knew what he knew and he was always physically faster and stronger than his opponents. That is why he was so invincible at the time and why he has been such a target for criticism ever since.

Haters.....please. Pick on someone living.

As for seagal and lebell, if seagal was prepared, it would have been a fight. NO ONE could dominate a fighter like him with such ease. Especially at that age. Come on, does everyone on here believe everything they read?????

It was reported by many entertainment news outlets at the time. It did happen on the set of Out for Justice from what I can remember at the time. Both guys don't deny the incident took place. The only difference in stories is that Seagal said he was surprised by Labell. As to where Labell stated he gave him plenty of time to prepare.

What rumor? The only rumor I've ever heard about Seagal was about taking money from the mob to make his movies.....of him usually fighting against the mob. lol

So what's this other rumor? Gene Labell challenged Seagal to a fight?

Apparently Seagal got mouthy with Gene on the set. Gene choked him unconscious and Seagal lost control of his bowels.

If the rumour says JUDO GENE won I would have to agree.AIKIDO while it may have value against untrained street thugs usually comes up losing against trained fighters especially judoka with their refined sense of balance.
JUDO GENE also defeated BRUCE LEE 3 times in a row one afternoon at LEE's residence .Not rumour documented fact.Didn't put that in the largely b.s. movie they made did they.

Forgive my ignorance, but what's rumored to have taken place between the two of them?
