Any self-respecting chef would steer clear from using Oxo cubes. I suggest using fresh stock for your cooking.

Unless you have a lot of time on your hands, you probably wouldn't have your freezer (if you have one) stocked up with homemade beef , vegetable and chicken stock. So, I always have OXO cubes on hand. I would use them to spice up gravy, maybe add to a soup, mix in a meatloaf, I add chicken cubes to fried rice or I add one to the water I'm preparing the rice with. I don't use them that often, maybe once or twice in a month. The down side is that they have too much sodium, so I am trying to cut down.

They're dreadful. Almost 80% salt and they don't taste like the broth they're supposed to mimic. There are much better brands of bullion out there.

Even a can of cheap store brand broth is better than Oxo.

My mother did and I do occasionally.
Use them anywhere that a recipe calls for stock.
Use them to make gravy.
