the answer i picked: i picked because it was AN OPINION and in an opinion, there aren't any RIGHT OR WRONG ANSWERS.
to SOME of the other answerers: honestly i don't care if they break it into two catagories or not, i was just asking a question for opinions on what others thought. most answerers answered pretty nasitily and/or got insulted. :( although, i am sure i am WRONG, but it seems most people come here to express ANGER toward others for not seeing things in the same aspect. religion is just that, it's one's BELIEF and people are prepared to DIE FOR THEIR BELIEF. that's good, i am Christian and i won't ever convert. close minded? maybe.... believing in salvation through Jesus Christ? Yes! call it what you chose, it's my OPINION and neither right nor wrong! YOUR ANSWERS ARE NEITHER RIGHT NOR WRONG. THANKS FOR ANSWERING! never did i think such a simple question could raise such conflicting answers.

Have a good day!

No, I don't think it should be broken into separate categories. I may not agree with everything that is said but I still like to read about different opinions and have good discussions about the differences. I feel that those with open minds and hearts might better understand each other and learn to accept each other and the differences they may have and celebrate the similarities they share. I like to say that those who believe in God, believe in the same God, it's just that we take different paths on our journey's to reach God. For the Atheists, they have rights just like anyone else and should be respected and not dinegrated because they believe differently. Good question though.. sparked a lot of responses!

No. The point is the categories are for TOPICS, not users. Anyone can answer in any topic. A related question was recently raised in the gay & etc., category as to why those who disapprove don't go away. The reason is that we all have the right to ask and answer in any category. If a topic is of interest, get involved. But do so politely.

Should you have asked such a pointless question ?

Discussing your non-belief or lack of belief in regards to religion and spirituality is still expressing an opinion about religion and spirituality.

Go to the Cat section and ask "Why do you have a Cat ?" and then ask "Why don't you have a Cat ?", somehow the question regarding the reasons behind having a cat seems to belong more in the category then the one asking about not having one.

As insighthere and Ray Patterson ask, believers in what? Allah/ Buddha/ Cernunnos/ Dharma/ Enlightenment/ Freyja/ God / ... Zeus?

Besides, I think wisdom can be found in even the least likely places. Why attempt to silence a group of people for their beliefs (or lack of...) Allow everyone their say and listen wisely, that's what I think.

No way. Who wants to sit around discussing religion all day with people who agree? Different opinions are what makes the world go 'round.

Besides, you gotta love those baby-eating atheists. I would be sad if they left!

I was just kinda thinking about that.

I usually play goalie for the out-of-control angry Christians, (They make Christians look bad and validate much of what they try to oppose) but everybody's been pretty well behaved tonight. It was actually kind of boring not seeing people trying to bludgeon each other with their wankers. Had some upset Muslims tonight, but it just wasn't the same.

Personally, I come here to learn about other faiths, including atheism. To defeat your enemy, you must first know your enemy, right?

Neither side would respect the borders.Admit it,we like to argue.Be kinda boring seperated.Example:Typical christian only room..Q:Isn't God great? A:yes..end of thread
Typical Atheist..Q:does god exist A:no..end of thread.

That would help only if everyone obeyed rules. We don't live in that kind of world. I imagine Heaven like that !!!
I for one, detest bashing. To see my Heavenly Father bashed makes me want to cry. He died on the cross for me.~~~~

no, its fine the way it is, you can always skip it if you want
anyway. and i'm sure it might get a bit confusing and
people will be reversing the catagories.

what would be the point? Both sides would still cross over to argue with the other side.
