That question cannot be simply answered because Australia is a very large place. June is winter here .. in the South and the South Coast and Tasmania it can get quite chilly and drop below freezing at night .. in the far north like Darwin and northern Queensland, even in winter the temperatures stay quite warm and rarely go below 30C (in American thats the equivalent of F hot! LOL)
Get more specific with your question and you'll get a better answer. Its like asking what the weather in the USA is in June .. someone from Alaska will tell you a much different story than someone from Florida! :)

Quite cold. Since Australia is in the southern hemisphere, it's winter in June. However, if you were to come to Australia and venture into Queensland and the Northern Territory, you'd find the weather to be favourably warm, as QLD and the NT are further north, closer to the equator.

In June, Australia is in the dead of Winter. This is because the Southern Hemisphere is opposite of the Northern Hemisphere in seasons.
So, if you go to Australia in January, you'll probably be in paradise or fighting a heat wave.
And like any other continent, the Nothern-most part is warmer while the southernost part is colder . . . Victoria is more snowy than other places. :) (Being from Minnesota, I can relate-- lol.)
Hope that helps.

In the mainland it is quite snowy.

Australia is a huge place. It stretches from about 40°S in Hobart to 10°S in Darwin. In the northern hemisphere this is equivalent to Philadelphia to Panama in the Americas and Rome to Sierra Leone or Adis Ababa in Europe/Africa.
While there is snow on the Australian Alps it is tropical in the tropics - as it always is.

In the tropics, dry, warm and wonderful.
In Hobart, chilly and frequently wet.
In the Centre, warm and clear, cold at night.
In Perth, cool to warm and dry.
Choose your temperature and precipitation band. It is a big country.
