yes, if you are upset or over-excited about something it can lead to rapid heartbeat and palpitations, it's quite common actually. anxiety causes the above symptoms also.

A doctor who sees this will give that one a mild nerve pill to ease the strain of mental problems and try and encourage the one to eat better.

yes.
when your stressed or excited, depending on your body...your blood pressure either drops or increases considrebly. this in return does affect your hearbeat...depending on your blood pressure, it either speeds up or slows down, thus resulting to irregular heart beats or palpitations.
although if this is regular please get it checked!
