To tell you the truth? racism makes me sick to the pit of my heart. Any way of thinking changed because of color is ludicrous. Hearing about your cousin, made me feel pretty terrible, I must say. I know there are ignorant people around who will always hate or judge interracial relationships for various reasons.. but love knows no bounds, like said many times. If a grown man cries for his dyeing wife, and he's judged apon for being a different race, i'd fight until my knuckles bled to change the opinion of any disgusting individual who would dare say he was with her for "status". Sickening.

I think people are very negative about both white and black people in a interacial relationship and it's a darn shame. People need to stop judging others by the color of their skin. If people want to date out of their race and it makes them happy then so be it. Your cousin sounds like a great man and I'm sorry for all those ignorant people that feel the need to put down the entire race. It's sad that you can't ask a good question on here without getting a negative or nasty response.

I don't really know about negative feelings towards black men in relationships, I've never heard any specifically - about men in general yes, but not about black men specifically. But I do know that a lot of people on YA only want to see the bad in a situation. Ask any question about a guy, and you can be sure you'll get a whole host of answers saying "he's a player", "dump him", "he's using you" and all that crap. You get a lot of good answers as well, but there are a lot of immature people and a lot of very young people on these boards (the two obviously go hand in hand a lot) - I don't think you should necessarily see that as a proper cross-section of adult opinion.

I think the racist cancer has spread to ALL ethnic groups alike, and has affected male and female in each ethnic group. The pain can't even begin to compared or even gaged on that level. Bigotry always raises it's ugly head. And it may not disappear for a long long time. BUT...one thing to always remember is that a bigot can never, ever be truly happen inside. So they get theirs in the end, no matter what. It truly does come back around. A man reaps what he sows, no doubt

I think that being judgemental is not only a sin, but the lowest and least appreciated form of communicating. Why don't people just mind their own business. It is not up to anyone else to judge the other person's way of life, unless it affects them negatively.

They should get off their high horse, and open that locked door that they keep all of their deep dark secrets, and deal with them before they start trying to run other people's lives!!!!!

I think it's hidden racism all about some of the Yahoo answerers - nothing more and nothing less.

There are plenty of other ways men can get to be highly regarded instead of going out with women they regard as plain ugly usually - because that is how most of the black men regard white women.
