I have recently started a placement at a hospital and get the feeling one of the doctors there fancies me. It is a funny environment, not like normal situations so I am unsure. He watches me a lot but when I look at him he quickly carries on with his work. He comes over and asks how I'm doing and praises me up to the nurses. I went on a break yesterday to the lunchroom and he was there too sitting on jis own. I joined him, sat opposite and we had a conversation. He kept stammering and looking at the floor or into his coffee. He did smile a lot though and say how good a nurse he thought I would be. I confided in the lead nurse and she said he keeps asking about me. He dosen't seem to take any notice of the other student nurse and he definately dosen't stammer when talking to other people. He seems very confident and gives people good eye contact. I watched him with the lead nurse and she says hes not a nervous person normally. Am I getting this right? She said hes been single for ages.

Yep, I'd say you're right :) But a warning though, if you're a student nurse and you like him back, maybe it's not a good time for a relationship since others might think he may influence whatever results you will have in the future (sorry, I don't really know if you have tests as nurses or something) but there.

What are you waiting for, many other nurses would jump at the chance you are obviously being offered.
Do not turn it down, grasp it with both hands, show an interest, after all it may be the best move you ever make, and if you don't you will wonder for the rest of your life how it would have worked out.

My advice is go for it ! ! !

Good Luck.

Get it sorted as it could cause you problems with the other nurses if they think he is praising you up and ingoring them. The situation may get untenable.

My advice ignore him if you can and do not go out of your way to sit with him etc.....let things die down and take it's natural course.

Does he fancy you hard to say however, time will tell but stop the flirting okay!

Certainly sounds like you have it right. Play it cool though cause you could be in a very difficult situation and make sure you keep talking to your lead nurse so that she keeps aware of the situation....good luck..x

he obviously likes you then!

He stammers when he talks to you because he is really interested and can be confident with everyone because he's not trying to impress them in the same way.

Keep talking, he'll become confident with you and you can have a great time together, assuming you are interested too!

Maybe he was waiting for you to come along!!!! Go for it. the only person that could understand a doctor's life better than a nurse is another doctor, so your competition is limited!!!!

I reckon so, if you like him just ask him out because by the sounds of it he wont be overcoming his nerves any time soon!!

Good luck xx
