Hi, im buying a laptop and it has windows vista, will i be able to copy all the software from my desktop to the laptop or Vista only works with softwares made for Vista?

Much of your software will have significant problems under Vista, there is limited compatibility issues.

you will have problems with your programmes it will be a matter of degree the programmes you get with the laptop should be OK. May I suggest you load one programme at a time make a restore point each time so you go back.
you will also have a problem with your printer driver visit the printer manufacturers web site for a download. do not let it put you off you can use it as a learning curve I have besides you can always find help on this site.
