Ive told a girl she was beautiful, but she didnt really respond back, she just thanks, but she seemed kinda surprised and changed the subject. Does that mean she doesnt like me?

there is a difference between telling a girl she is beautiful as a compliment or as a chat up line and I think this girl took it to be a chat up line which she didn't expect or want from you...she changed the subject so you would back off..but saying that it doesn't mean she doesn't like you but it does mean she could never love you

my BFF says that occasional and I act the same way. Sometimes I don't respond at all, I just give him a silent stare and small smile before giving a short laugh and shaking my head.

It might mean that she likes you too, but she was not expecting such a nice compliment from you.

no but what are you expecting her to do just because you gave her a compliment? fall into your arms? a thank you is her best response. she may feel a little self conscious, embarrassed

i cant say whats in her head, but i know most girl like to be told beautiful! do not hesitant to say it again to her or other girl.
