I don't do rigorous exercise (although I do exercise somewhat), and I'm not completely healthy about my diet, true, but for the most part I'm a healthy girl. Would it be expected of me to gain the same amount of weight my parents did even if they didn't have the same lifestyle?

No, you won't gain the weight your parents did if you don't copy their lifestyle. Obesity is caused mostly by habit, not heredity.

Hi, You don't say how old you are now. It will depend on your life style and the way you eat if you will gain a lot of weight or not. Eat a healthy diet and do some jogging and maybe some bike riding with keep you fit. Lol Lol

No you won't gain weight like your parents because weight gain is about enviromental factors not genetic factors. As you are seventeen your probably stop growing now as girls tend to stop growing around 18.
