we just moved to this apartment and since day one she seemed to really like it but as each day passes she seems more and more terrified by the bedroom. Now she wont let me out of sight anywhere in the apartment and just screams when I do. My husband and I both feel, for other reasons as well, that the apartment is haunted. What are your oppinions? Has this happened to you? Should I be concerned?

to Lucifer and Mazuk, I thought this was an open forum where people with questions got answers from people who had them, not an attempt for you to take out your aggressions of your failed attempt of a bad day on people with concerns, if you dont have an answer to a question, the shut up. As for Mazuk, breeding with your kin folk might be a common practice where you live, but that is the most sickening thing I've ever been wrote on here, you are a sick and perverted individual who needs to seek help before you hurt someone.

The thing about Apartments, so many more people come and go in them, then say a house. The older an apartment, the more tenets have occupied that space. The fact is, you have no idea who, or whats been going on inside the place you call your home. Anything from suicides, to satanic masses could have taken place there. And even if stuff like that didn't happen in YOUR apartment, who's to say it didn't happen next door, below, a few doors down, or right on the other side of the wall where your child sleeps. Hell, maybe the apartment is built over an old cemetery. who knows? It could be nothing. The thing that i find odd, is that your baby liked the place at first. If i was you, i would get a camcorder, set it up in the bedroom, and record either you or your child at night while you or her sleep. Also, get a 35mm camera, and start taking random pictures everywhere. Keep it by the bed. If you wake up in the middle of the night, snap a picture or two while in bed. You may find something in the pics later. If you have any questions, email me. I'm a paranormal investigator.

Well, my kid did the same exact thing. Had to be the center of attention AT ALL TIMES and screamed each minute that he was awake. As he got older, it got worse. However my house isn't haunted (not that I know of) and one day I had had enough. I let the kid cry for 4 HOURS straight without stopping. I put him in his crib and closed the door with the lights on and some music to calm him. The next night, he cried for 3 hours until he was blue in the face. The next 2 and so on, until he finally got it into his head, that nobody was going to pay him any attention unless it was serious. Now he is three years old and still needs to be the center of attention, but at least the screaming has stopped!

I think your baby associates the bedroom with being left there alone and prefers to be with you. Babies learn early that crying will bring attention and they always want mama or daddy. If you have convinced yourself that the place is haunted...you are probably conveying that fear to your child. If that is so the only solution is to move.

My baby girl does not like being in our master bedroom . it is the only place in the house where she will just continue to cry . I do not understand the reason.

No, do not be concerned. I don't know what you believe in but I'll tell you from what I believe in that "The God that is in you and your household is greater than the spirits in the world." Kids often have "special interests" and your kid may just was being a kid.

Your room isn't haunted. She just doesn't want you to leave her.

Actually I've had a relatively good day...
I've stated my opinion above. No it hasn't happened to me before, it just has separation anxiety written all over it. I doubt you should be concerned.
"I thought this was an open forum where people with questions got answers from people who had them"
Actually it's an opinion Forum... you don't have to give answers. Just your opinion.

It can and apparently does happen sometimes. If you're concerned, consult a parapsychologist. You never know what it could be, but if you feel like it's a haunting, maybe it is.

maybe your baby has abandonment issues and you both are superstitious. Maybe the baby is picking up on YOUR uncomfortable feelings since you seem to have convinced yourselves the apartment is haunted.
