A few suggestions:
Best Ladies
Bridal Attendents or Bride's Attendents
Bridal Atendees or Bride's Atendees

Or more generally you could have Bride's Honored Friends or Guests and Groom's Honored Friends/Guests

If you plan on being quite informal:
Best Gals and the Gal of Honor

Hope this helps!

I think maid may just be short for maiden.

Main Entry: maid
Pronunciation: 'mAd
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English maide, short for maiden
1 : an unmarried girl or woman especially when young : VIRGIN

So use brides-maidens, or just the brides-ladies.

If they are married they would actually be a brides-matron

Traditionally, they're called attendants. I, however, like the term "team bride". The groomsmen can be "team groom". Makes it out to be more of a group effort, you know?

I think that Bridal attendants is appropriate. If it's a super casual affair, it could just be (Bride) will be joined at the alter by her close friends....

I think you're getting caught in little details that don't matter. Don't worry about it, you don't have to call them anything, but another term that is used is attendant.
