No excuse me but im sorry people to brake it to you and uncover your shameful acts. but forcefully killing a creature.. human or not! if they are crying out and running for their life then you should protect them rather than ruthlessly kill them just to selfishly satisfy your tongue. how is it not a sin to kill a creature against their own will? i guess in this case hitler was sinless in his acts?!?!?! .. because meat factories are just like the concentration camps. And no god didnt make animals just to be slaughtered. hes alot nicer than that.

what about that verse in the new testament (the old one says you can, but the new changed the rules) that says "let every herb bearing tree, and seed, etc be unto you as meat" This would mean they are NOT supposed to eat animals, but that veggies and grains would be their meat.

and it's the land of milk and honey, not blood and pain and tears for my lusty tongue. (btw, veggies do not run away in fear, bleed, cry, or beg with their eyes for you to NOT KILL them)

I eat meat. coconut meat, sweet meats (it means candies etc. for those who are not familiar with it)

People misinterpret the bible when it says meat- it does not mean dead animals, it means FOOD!!!
King James (or king consantine) majorly changed the bible to suit his needs.
Most Christians don't know what they are following.

Darling, I understand you've rallied up your temper quite a bit. The difference between meat factories and concentration camps, are that the people in the concentration camps, they have a mind, and a soul. Animals haves spirits, which is what gives them personality. But they do not have the soul, which makes it so that they can believe in God. I'm pretty sure the animals in meat factories are not saying "Please spare me, I have a wife and two kids to go home to" You might say, well that is what they were thinking! But animals cannot talk, they are wonderful, and they can brighten up your day, but they are not the same as people. I will let other people answer your main question.

Not sinful at all. Obviously you're not getting your information from the Holy Bible. These verses explain it. As long as the Christian prays and gives thanks to God for the food he or she eats, then it becomes sanctified, or clean. There is no where in the NEW Testament where it states that a Christian cannot eat meat. However it does say not to eat meat that has been OFFERED TO IDOLS, which is totally different.

1 Timothy 4:1 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.
2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.
3 They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth.
4 For everything God created is good, and NOTHING IS TO BE REFUSED, if it is received with thanksgiving,
5 because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.

FOOD OFFERED TO IDOLS.

Acts 15:29 You are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things. Farewell.

In Genesis, when God created Adam and Eve he put them in the garden. He told them to go forth and multiply and have dominion over the earth. Christians interpret this to mean that God wants us to feel free to use everything we find on the earth. We can smell the flowers, we can make stuff out of the trees, we can drink the water and eat the animals!

Jewish people see it a little different. There are some animals you can eat and some you can't. And the animal has to be killed and prepared in a certain way. But there's no rule against eating meat!

1Co 10:23 All things are lawful to me, but not all things profit. All things are lawful to me, but not all things build up.
1Co 10:24 Let no one seek his own, but each one another's.
1Co 10:25 Eat whatever is sold in the meat market, asking no question for conscience' sake;
1Co 10:31 Therefore whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

Basically, if God does not put it in your heart to not eat meat, then accept it with thanksgiving. But these verses (and those verses surrounding it I didn't post) are saying that if you eat meat and are with someone who is against eating meat, out of love for that person, don't eat meat in front of them. Same with alcohol. I don't have a problem with drinking a little in moderation, but there are those who think we should not drink any alcohol. When I am with those people, I dont drink alcohol in order to not offend them, out of love and respect for them. According the the Bible, people didn't eat meat until after the flood, since there would have been a food shortage at that time, God gave the go ahead, with restrictions. People have been eating meat ever since. The idea here is to accept all your food and drink with thanksgiving and do not eat or drink that which might offend someone and therefore cause them to stumble in some way.

I can't imagine why you would think it is sinful. If you're worried, read Genesis 9:1-3, Leviticus 11, and Acts 10:9-16. (Have to throw that last one in for the freaks who think that the Old Testament doesn't apply to Christianity for some reason)

No. I want to be polite to you.

It's nowhere in the Bible to eat only herbs and vegetables. Daniel did that, but not by commandment. And Paul talked about some weak Christians who lived by special rules
( handle not, taste not, touch not) . But if you'll see that the priests in Judaism also got to eat the sacrifices at the alter once it was okay to. So vegan ism and vegetarianism wasn't important nor was it a focus.

I have christian friends who eat meat and christian friends who do not. So you can't lump all christians together. But the Christian bible does not forbid eating meat, and so they would not think of it as a sin.
However some of my Christian friends treat their bodies as a temple and are very strict about not wanting to put things in their bodies they consider unhealhty... and even though it isn't a SIN they try to take care of their body / temples out of respect for God who gave them that body/ temple to live in. So these types are ultra strict about how they treat their bodies and what they ingest. However these people tend to belong to certain sects of christianity, like 7th day adventists.

Most main stream protestants eat meat. Like I said, the bible does not forbid it. In fact I believe Peter is given a vision where the Lord tells him he can eat it.

God told Noah and his sons in Gen 9:3 'Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs.' So God has authotised mankind to eat meat.
