Think it should be Russian, I remember when I was a child my father had a Russian-made camera whose brand was Laika.

The phonetic pronounciation of your name is the same a Leica, which is Germanic. Many non-traditional and non-Bible names are created by parents looking for originality when naming their children. Best sugguestion: Ask Mom and Dad.

Did you ever think to ask your parents?? Maybe they took parts of each of their names or some family members' names and put them together. The closest I could find was LACIE, which is English for--you guessed it--like "lace".

Hi, I found out that "Laica" means:
in Italian, "layman"
in Portuguese and Spanish, "secular"
Hope this helps. God bless.
