Here's how you do it. Every day for the next six weeks, you get up and get dressed in your cutest outfits, Fix your hair, put on your makeup and walk around like any moment you might run into your ex, and you want to show off what he's missing, if you do. Don't talk about him to anyone and don't talk to him. Forget this "really good friends" bologna...what a copout. That's just a way to keep seeing him, and you don't want to see him for a while. Don't listen to "your" songs, don't hang out where you might see him (feels like stalking and you look desperate). Throw away your little mementos and ticket stubs, take his pictures off the dresser and out of your purse. Erase his number from your cellphone. And SMILE....if it kills you. I promise, if you do these things without exception, you WILL get over him. Oh, and accept a date from "other guy", or at least keep talking to him while you go though this. A little attention from an interested party never hurt anyone. And remember this, not everyone in our life is permanent; some people are just meant to be transitions from one stage of our lives to another.

i went thru this same thing. My ex fiance and i broke up about two months ago, and at first i wanted him back and he didn't want me and we were good friends, but then i started hanging out with new people and we quit talking. I met a new guy the week after we broke up, but i didn't want to lead him on knowing i wasn't over my ex yet. I eventually gave this guy a chance, and he's been so perfect. He basically showed me how i should be treated and made me realize that my ex wasn't what i thought he was, and that i could be treated so much better. Me and the new guy are still together, but taking things very slow, and i never thought i would say this, but i'm happier now than i've probably ever been. good luck to you in your situation.

The best way to get over an ex is to see someone new until then you will just keep thinking about the ex and missing him

What's lost is not meant to be brought back, it would cause more problems. Stay friends, show him love, just don't act like you care anymore. If in time he shows interest again, play a little hard to get then jump in his arms (metaphorically speaking).

you wouldn't get your ex out of your system until you try to explore and enjoy.. i mean, don't just stay at home and feel depression and loneliness girl... life's beautiful.. date and date a lot of guys til you're ready to commit into a relationship again... enjoy!

KEEP BUSY, THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO PUT IT... AND I DON'T MEAN FOR YOU TO JUMP INTO ANOTHER PERSONS LAP..... ERASE ALL HIS NUMBERS, QUIT GOING TO PLACES YOU TWO WOULD SPEND TIME AT, OR DOIND ANYTHING THAT REMINDS YOU OF HIM, AND AFTER TIME PASSES YOU WILL BE CENTERED.
