Gave it up three years ago shortly after I got saved. I prayed for the strength to resist the temptation and God gave it to me. My reasoning went like this:
I can't masterbate without fantasizing and lusting, lust is a sin, I will not willfully sin against God, therefore I will not masterbate.
On my own I never could have managed such a thing because I used to do it a *lot*. All the glory goes to God... His Holy Spirit gave me the ability to resist this particular temptation. Rely on Him and you can overcome it! God can deliver you from *anything*... He enabled me to quit a 20-year daily marijuana habit, too.

its a valid question actually and i find it very hard not too even though i hate it, but if i didnt id be frustrated and prob have an affair . that doesnt mean i think its a good thing though as this is not what G-D intended for us esp in a marriage

you can reduce it to ) over time but it is much easier if you are married and have a partner who is with you.
