they were given a commandment to eat all but that fruit (not necessarily an apple lol).
Anyway through Satans temptation, Eve, then Adam ate the fruit. God kept his word and they were cast out of the garden of eden. Some people condem them for this, but its a GOOD THING!! In the garden of Eden they were innocent, had no knowledge of good or evil, and certainly didn tknow how to make babies. Since eating the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, they knew how to have sex and made lotsa babies. If it wasnt for that, we wouldnt be here now, and I am gratefull.

It represents (current tense) the "area that powers life" (apel), in other words the "proton" or "positive energy", and unfortunately man have chosen to consume that very same thing...again.
You see, all of the power sources that man use (except for nuclear, which contravenes another directive) are fundamentally "positive". Coal, oil, wood, gas...all of them are then coupled with a "negative" in the form of oxygen to release energy. The means to do this "grew" on the "tree of knowledge" (technology to be exact) and the call to do this comes from the desire for the electron volt "eV" (Eve).
Well done man!
I should mention that whether it happens slow as in "rusting" or quickly as in "flames", it is all by definition...FIRE.
Man were told that they would consume the world with fire...and they have. They do, because they did and that reoccurring series of cycles is called "the serpent."
Thats all I should say for now. (I shall probably get in trouble for this. Some subjects are taboo!) But deep down (very deep) I like you guys! You can be wonderful! I remember.
Yes, all these stories were written for us "jin" (or elves) when we find ourselves back here. We are many, we are "le jin" (le genius). they are all "metaphoric riddles" and were never going to make sense to ordinary "man" who usurped our position a long time ago (greed) and sent the world into darkness. So they are not "open" to interpretation...but can be interpreted.
This story is much, much older than the Bible.
How can such "new" words have relevance to such an old story? Well there really is a God and he "inspires" every word you use. (God gave men speech) and he uses the same vocabulary each time at the same point in the cycle.
Man never notice it.

the bible never said the fruit was an apple, it just says fruit. Since there was only one tree of knowledge of good and evil in the middle of the garden, we don't have any comparable fruit, we have no idea what it was. God told them not to eat it and they did. Its called DISOBEiDENCE. they knew the consequences, but they did it anyway. sound familiar? And btw, sex between a man and woman joined together by God is a good thing, God wouldn't get mad at them for that. geesh, don't you people actually read the Bible BEFORE asking questions?

The apple was real (if infact it was an apple) the one that Eve gave Adam was the one God told Adam not to eat.
God was upset because Eve was deceived but Adam knew what was right and chose to disobey. God created Adam and Eve and sex so there is no need to be angry if that was what they were doing.

Actually, the Bible doesn't say apple, but some undefined piece of fruit.
The fruit was from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
What the story represents is that people shouldn't seek to discover for themselves what is right and wrong, but should trust God's word and obey his commands, or there's hell to pay, literally.

No. It states in the Christian bible that Adam and Eve ate fruit from the Forbidden Tree. Since they went against the Christian God's orders...they were banished to live on earth and cursed with death and pain.

Here's another biblical absurdity - how can you know not to do something if you have no knowledge of death, good, or evil? Supposedly, A&E were threatened with death if they disobeyed - which, since it had never happened before, was a meaningless threat.
The wqhole story is meant to scare children into obeying mommy & daddy; god is just a metaphor for Dad. Too bad few recognize these are just childish fairy tales.

The fruit existed! Not eating the fruits of the Tree of Knowledge was the only law that existed and it represented obedience to God.

The "apple" represented a choice. Do NOT eat it. If you do, you die. When they ate it, they disobyed God... That obviously had very far reaching consquences. That choice introduced IMPERFECTION into a perfect world.
The first command God gave was: BE fruitfull and multiply.... So it is doubtful they got "busted" for getting it on.

The bible is just a metaphor, it represents evil.
You have to remember, though, that this is a very ancient tale, developed long before writing. It was handed down via oral tradition, which is basically like a round of "the telephone game" that lasted for thousands of years. It was developed by pre-scientific people who had little or no capacity for critical thought and empiricism. When it finally was written down, it was translated and edited many many times before it even got to Jesus' time, let alone our time.
