according to my history teacher from 11th grade, the picture we see of Jesus is really a picture of a relative or friend from the painter and that as proof that the picture isnt real, the bible describes Jesus in a different way. so if the picture or image we see of Jesus is wrong and hes described differently in the bible then shouldnt we change it so it matches?

I mean most of you somehow "know" and dont "believe" he existed and died for our sins so shouldnt we at least get his image right?

How do you figure the physical attributes of Christ helps you?
There was more than one model for the different pictures that portray Christ.

Jesus was a classic Jewish man from the Mediterranean Sea. There is no way he was white like he is depicted in iconic pictures painted over the last two thousand years!
You and I will never see the day where pictures of an average poor Jew from the Roman era will be properly painted across the globe! People always want to paint God in their own image!
What's more, here's a thought for you...... in order for Jesus to be the true sacrifice for our sins, he would have to have had a genuinely human body, even though he was God internally.
Therefore, Jesus would have had the same body oder(B.O.) that typical Mediterranean men had in those days. He also would have had dirty fingernails and dirty feet. There would have to have been no outward difference from other men!
What a thought!!! A dark tanned, smelly Jesus!!!!

I agree, it should be changed. You're right, He is described differently in the bible, and geographically speaking, a pale-skinned, blue-eyed Jesus is not likely at all. Unfortunately, people have also turned religion into a business, and what sells to the biggest group of wealthy individuals who want to share their money with "God"? A savior they can relate to and identify with. Just sick really.

Kind of hard to do, considering there is no known accurate "image" of Jesus. The paintings that portray Jesus, at least in Western culture, show him as being caucasian with long hair, etc. In reality, he was darker skinned, and a Jew. I think we ought to leave well enough alone, and just get our own personal image of Jesus, and keep Him to ourselves.

It doesn't sound like an issue to me.
The changing race of Jesus is a good thing.
A moral could be learned from this.

Most likely he had a middle eastern complexion. He also probably had medium-short hair, that was the prevailing style at the time.

We don't know how he looks but I remember reading that he was not handsome he look like a peasant. This is why no one believed he could possibly be the messiah/ son of God.
