I feel like the dumbest person in the world. I'm not crazy about cell phones and I do not want a bunch of friends. Does this mean I'm screwed up? I feel different from most everybody else I know. Is this normal? I do not know what to do I feel like such a weird, strange person. I feel like I'm not good enough so I try to make up for my insecurities by doing computer animation in a program called Maya. But whenever I show other people my work I can't handle any criticism. Is this normal or am I the most messed up people ever?

It's not abnormal, but it sounds to me like you are unhappy-that's not a good thing. First, examine how YOU feel about your life-are you fulfilled? Are you judging your likes and dislikes by what others do? Not wanting the same things as "everybody" doesn't make you weird-it makes you, you.
If you finally decide you do feel something still lacking, talk to your parents about some counseling-needing that is definitely normal in teens, it's a confusing time of life.
Good luck to you.

no, you just have low self esteem. i had low self esteem in middle school because i was the new kid and i was bullied and my self esteem gradually went back up in high school but its still not very high. basicly you are just introverted and there is nothing wrong with that. some people may say its weird but thats just because they don't understand. but you might also be suffering from clinical depression. i highly suggest you start working out and/or learn a martial art. it really helps with self esteem and it helps you feel good. when you exercise, you brain releases endorphins which is the chemical that makes you feel good when you do anything that you like including recreational drugs. but working out is a safe and natural high. martial arts can make you feel like a badass but do me a favor and don't go to the ymca for that because their programs are a joke

Haha, thats absolutely nothing to worry about. Sounds to me like you just have low self-esteem. If you felt more confident in yourself, you'd probably find yourself wanting to be more sociable and being more welcoming to criticism. Which, if you don't want friends then you don't want friends, but I don't think it's as simple as that.... I think you DO want friends, you're just afraid that you can't make friends. Which isn't true. Try to find people with similar interests as you, maybe others your age who like playing around in Maya.

You are pretty normal. I think what you need is to ask the people in the program what they think sbout it and "any suggestions?" to aviod critisism.

Life isnt like T.V shows--money, popularity, freinds, partys, and whatever.

Its normal--dont worry.

Yes, it's normal to feel insecure at your age. Even kids who are extra-popular with "normal" interests

Welcome to adolescence. We all go through this. Best advice is don't make too much of it because little by little it is going to go away.
God loves just the way you are. Everything after that is gravy.
Be good to yourself
