In a paper that is more about myself, so I don't have to use sources... I wanted to quote my aunt who once said something to me. Do I need to do a reference page since it came from a casual conversation or not? Also do I need to use APA format for her after the quote, I'm mentioning right after the quote that those were the words of my aunt.

the easiest way to cite this would be to mention that your aunt said it either directly before it or after it. this gets rid of the necessity to internally cite it and you won't have to add a workes cited page.

Ex:
1. My aunt always has great advice. "Your quote here" has always stuck with me.

2. "Quote." My aunt is a teeming source of great advice.

Yes, the APA format! Cite the quote in the normal manner, as you would quote any one, any celebrity!

You will need to use APA formant because you do know who the quote came from so you will have to give her credit for it. You will also us APA format even if you did not know who it was but you will but unknown.
