I just got a new laptop with Windows Vista on it. I tried downloading itunes from the itunes website, the one for windows vista. It downloads, installs and says it is complete. The problem is it is no where on my computer. It does not even make a shortcut icon on my desktop. Why wont it work? How do I fix it? HELP!!!

Oooh I heard that vista has issues with ipods and itunes... drag!
I don't have vista, but you could try going onto microsoft.com and they might have a "patch" you can download from there that will fix the problem.

Make sure you downloaded iTunes to it's own file and not to another program like RealPlayer. Also, if it is not on your desktop, check your All Programs list. If in fact you see iTunes, right click, scroll over send to and click desktop.

I would recommend if you can't find the download to install, look in your temporary internet files. Try looking under C:\Documents and Settings\(computers name)\Local Settings
Make sure you can view hidden files.

Also clean out that file regularly :)

fortunate you, unfortunatly my project with Itunes is worse than yours, yet i be responsive to the thank you to repair yours. you're able to uninstall each thing apple/iTunes appropriate, and to be sure obtain&set up the domicile windows installation Cleanup and run it to ensure that no longer something Apple appropriate is on the record it exhibits.

try looking for it under C;?? programs or under your start menu. or maybe a firewall is blocking it
