In my country I have just seen the documentary called "highway of death" about the war atrocities in Iraq by US soldiers.

the documentary producer who is european could not sell his film in the US. apparently when any network boss tried they were sacked. I have friends in the US and they confrimed to me, that what they see in the news is completely different to what is seen out side the US. any one out there have a view???

email me if you want to know what actually happened on the "highway of death"

The "news" in this country isn't news at all, it's show business. Our sensationalist, mainstream corporate media is a total joke. All they care about is ratings and profits. That's why inane crap like Anna Nicole Smith, Barry Bonds, Paris Hilton, the Best and Worst Dressed of 2007, and high speed police chases that always have the same outcome are actually considered "news".

Having watched Desert Storm on TV I was under the impression that the Highway of Death was a bunch of Iraqi soldiers getting the hell out of Kuwait but being bombed out of existance even though they were clearly demoralized and basically unarmed. I have heard that the international perception of what was too much played a part in the end of the massacre.

Be a lot fewer car thefts if it was a capital crime

It is true that US viewers are given less of the international news.

The 'highway of death' however was Iraqi soldiers in stolen civilian cars attempting to flee Kuwait during Desert Storm.

Saw it first hand. What did the media tell you?

There is VERY little non-parasitic media in the world today. The media purposely tilts their cameras to film more IED explosions or war casualties then what is being done well such as supplies being brought to schools or parades to celebrate Iraq’s freedom. If what you say is true, I am glad that no one will air such biased things on American TV…we have more than enough crooked media as it is.

We haven't sacked any network bosses in the U.S. in quite some time. And many documentaries aren't "news". They are cobbled together to portray a pre-concieved belief of their creators. And that's as true for American "documentaries" as it is for those from Europe.
