Since Robert answered your question I won't repeat it, but I do have one suggestion. Whatever you do do NOT blow your whole 3K on a pj. You can get one that will blow you away for 2K or less. So use the rest for a kickin sound system to go with it.

What pj are you looking at?

Hi. If you have a 90 inch screen wide it will be about 50.5 ins high ( 1.78:1) for a Widescreen Projector. You should be a minimum of 3 times the height of the image back from the screen which turns out to be about 13 feet which is what you mention in your question. But it all depends on the quality of the image and how dark you can make the room. If 90 inches is too big just divide the length of the screen by 1.78 to get the height. And multiply the new height by 3 to get the new distance from the screen.
Hope this helps.

,as long as you're happy with the photograph, it particularly is all that concerns. do exactly no longer do what all and sundry else does and examine out to undertaking a one hundred ten" photograph with it. A smaller show provides you with a brighter photograph and the bigger pixels will look much less sizeable. 1080p's are dropping in cost and by potential of the time you burn the bulb out on your 480p, you would be waiting to pass the 720p step and bounce without delay into the 1080p realm. have relaxing including your new projector!

If you are looking for the "best buy" home cinema projector, it's a refurbished Infocus SP4805 DLP projector which is selling for $>350 at infocus.com > store >clearance center > refurbished home projectors > SP 4805.

Here's a sample movie shot of "A Good Woman" on a 92" diagonal wall/screen with the SP 4805 placed on a coffee table some 12.5 ft. from the wall:
