If you want to wait, that's a good place to start from. But why should he know that you're a virgin? If you don't want to have sex, that's all he needs to know. If he pressures you for it, it's alright to tell him that you're waiting until you get married. If he doesn't respect that, then you're well rid of him.
And yes, pretty much every guy minds waiting. That doesn't necessarily mean that they won't.

It's not bad, at least it shouldn't matter. Some guys respect it and some guys don't. For guys who don't respect it, it's possible that he just wants that "certain something" from a girl. It also depends if he minds waiting or not. If he CARES for her, he won't mind. If it's lust that he has for her, it'll bug him.

while i would not be looking to take advantage i would be disinclined to date a virgin unless there was a very strong connection emotionally and intellectually
